Registered Nurse Interview (Due ASAP)
I hope some of you aren't representive of my future colleagues, because as I gathered from the initial responses I'll take this as an unreliable source. I'm thankful for the earlier commentary that treated me as I came however. The rest is just filled with a bunch of walking burn outs who should maybe consider a different venue to vent your lives frustrations. I have no need to continue explaining myself to trolls. And a cheater? Don't flatter yourself, if you know people like that you should check your own accountability... Not to offend but some of you are really out of touch with the state of today's classroom to be honest. Nothing within the questions asked is that much of a feat. If I was a dishonest person I wouldn't ask anyone, I'd make something up. Thankfully I was able to web cam a friends relative who is a nurse to complete my paper. So I'll look at this as a social experiment and make sure I never use or take another professors recommendation pertaining to this place.

@JustBeachyNurse That's not something I've familiarized myself with, so I'll take your word for it. With your having said that I can see how frustrating it may be if it's a reoccurring theme. That's truly unfortunate that there are people who are in this profession looking for shortcuts, but I'm a believer of practicing what I preach. I can't ask others within my daily life for accountability if I myself cannot follow in step. There's no merit in that as I voluntarily choose this course when it wasn't a requirement. It's serving as reinforcement so that I'm not complacent in assuming that I know all that I've studied thus far. I'm certainly aware of the benefits of an in person interview. I find it's always fortifying to have that interaction with guides who have been where I am and understand where I aim to go.

@JustBeachyNurse You're mistaken if you think my paper will be composed verbatim of the questions asked. Again it's to comprise my knowledge and the possible new knowledge from the interview into a short analysis of what expectations one should have. The responses following the initial are what gave me the impression that it lacked credibility or intentional jest. @Farawyn Thank you for that. That may be true, but I'm working on how I can rectify the present. I reproach myself far enough to dislike that I have to be last minute about this. However I've been juggling these six classes with a cold and life reminds me that I'm not infallible. So every event is a learning experience for the next. Thank you again.

Are you intentionally trying to patronize me?

Auto correct klone, I doubt I'm the only person to fall victim to it. *rapport

Registered Nurse Interview (Due ASAP)
I don't think some of you bothered to read. The snarkiness are within "some" of these comments. I don't make habits of trolling what I thought to be informational forums. So I'm lead to believe that this was just an unreliable source and none here have real credentials based on these responses. I clearly expressed that my interview could be in any form. In person, over the phone and even through the internet. If you do not wish to assist me then you have free will not to oblige. Why the recriminations? This project was to reinforce what we've studied. There aren't any names attached to it. It's just one to two page paper. I had already completed what I thought to be the criteria but the syllabus was updated with that specific clarification of only RN's. Trying to reach out to these local organizations are just coming up short so I thought to chance here.

If you have no interest in assisting me then why give commentary? Are people typically this facetious here because of the lack of tangible report?

Registered Nurse Interview (Due ASAP)
I'm a transfer student, so I tried getting in contact with the local hospital but wasn't successful getting feedback. I don't know anyone here being new in town and my contacts are limited. There was no discrepancy in how I acquired my information so this was my last resort. Also I'm completely certain nursing is what I desire to do. I'm taking this course as a filler to supplement my reqs of credits that must be completed at school until my application is approved. I suppose I was leaning on good faith that someone could emphasize being in a pinch once upon a time and lend me their conviction. I didn't consider those living vicariously in a facade with no true purpose. All the same, I'm having to write this paper over and it's due today so I wanted to maintain the credibility. Not having to fudge around with my initial mistake. Thank you again for your responses.

Registered Nurse Interview (Due ASAP)
Hi, I'm taking an intro nursing course before I apply next year, where we're required to interview a registered nurse to complete our assignment. I would be very grateful if you lovely ladies and gentlemen could assist me. I misinterpreted the assignment and thought any licensed nurse would do, but turns out it was specifically for RN's. Again, I'd be oh so thankful for your time in responding to these questions. 1. How long have you been a registered nurse? 2. In what area of nursing do you currently work? 3. How long have your worked in this area? 4. What are the most rewarding aspects of this job? 5. Why did you choose to become a nurse? 6. What is the most frustrating aspect of your work? 7. Do you recommend nursing as a career? Why or why not? 8. What suggestions do you have for people beginning a career in nursing?

Proud to be in scrubs??
I'm not going to lie, I await the day to gallivant in daily errands in my scrubs. Though now after giving more thought sanitary wise I see now that I shall disabuse this dream. Though proud of the scrubs I am, yup yup.

Summer 2014
My summer semester ended almost 2 weeks ago and I'm still basking in the relief that I at least was able to have completed something. Initially I took Sociology Social Problems and Intermediate Algebra, but two weeks prior to completion of my Sociology class I got a rude awaking that forced me to withdraw from the math class. Math has always been my bane throughout my academic career, I'm still surprised I assessed into the second to top tier for my requirement. As majority of the students in my class had taken lower levels of math which assisted them in grasping the information at the faster pace summer requires. Overzealous backwards boob that is me, instead of getting my GE out of the way I took my nursing pre-reqs first and now I'm stuck with finishing Math, Stats and Humanities at the end mark. Anywho, my realization was that I just need to stick it at my pace and to stop giving myself deadlines because I'm so close to what I've been working so hard for. Oh and I received an A for Sociology in which my high road mindset has me so elated about. Congratulations on your classes. My RN pre-req gpa is where it needs to be to apply for UNR, however my overall gpa is quite contrary, so I aspire to get a bit competitive too and be more efficient with my studying ethics. I'm just acknowledging how my energy for classes towards my major are up here , whilst the rest I give it the least care. All in all, I'm working on it! For my fun time until fall semester starts I'll be living in my kindle until my hearts content. Along with finding enough money for books to give the leeches that make every beginning of the semester feel like blood letting.

How many nursing students secure jobs in the US?
Maybe you could have a bit more faith in the decisions your sister has made? The choice to venture in this field isn't a fickle one many would agree, especially if this is something she's aspired to for quite some time.

Reno Area Schools
I have a question if I may add, are any of you part of the WUE and with a TAG agreement at your current school? Interesting enough my pre-req gpa is around a 3.8, but my overall is lower due past discrepancies so I tend to get worried despite it being irrelevant. I have my heart set on Orvis at UNR so I'm doing my best to cross and dot all my i's and t's. I've also keep missing the transfer counselor when I call, but per their website there isn't any TEAS requirement for Orvis's nursing program, but being that I can't just apply to just one school it will be necessary I take it for other considerations. Just wish I had more of a community of people with similar situation as mine. That's why I'm glad I decided to finally join here instead of being the constant guest. Thank you ladies (or sirs) for sharing your information, it was very informative.
