I have started to Apply in CA because i and my wife work in a italian restaurant in San Diego and because CA Board doesn't require TOEFL (now i am studying english) I am very grateful to USA because i am Green card holder, but now My american dream is becoming an american nurse, i don't matter wich state, each state is Perfect for me If you know with state accept foreign graduates easier, i would be happy and glad to hear :)

Hello steppbay do you know if LVN Board doesn't accept RN foreign graduates for the concurrency? I hope that At least LVN Board Will accept me I'm worried

I have always been in Class, and My passaport stamps show i have always been in Italy While i was attending nursing courses. The problem is: in Italy there isn't the concurrency. There is Accademic Calendar with precise Schedule for thereotical courses and hours, but Schedule for practice course specifies How many hours have to be made for year and they are made in the same semester of theoretical course but the object of pratice course can be different. For istance, in the first semester of first year I started with geriatric clinical hours, another student with pedriatic clinical hours, another student with ostetric clinical hours and so on... The first year i made psychiatric clinical hours, instead i made psychiatric theoretical hours At the third year However, I don't have a specific country where i want live:: i love all USA, I have applied in CA because it doesn't require Toefl Therefore, if you know wich states accepet foreign graduates easier, i would be happy and grateful to hear your advice

I have applied for both CA Board (LVN and RN) and i'm waiting the response The traslation of italian degree (80 pages) has cost two-thousand dollars and i wouldn't like to be denied by both CA Board However, if both refuse me I Will Apply in other States. Thank you for Your answer! I have made a Schedule of study: 9 Months-3 hours a day (i'm working actually in a italian resturant). I have bought on-line NCLEX course. If i don't pass Nclex the first time, i Will make a new Schedule of study for 1 year. I hope i Will pass Nclex, but i am happy that there aren't limit retakes Now My hope is that At least LVN Board accepts My application, because I think RN Board won't accept me because My italian nursing program doesn't have the concurrency I hope to realize My american dream of becoming a italian nurse in USA

I am italian nurse, My degree is a RN 3 years nursing programm (5400h theoretical hours and 2070 pratice hours). I am Green card holder, i live in san Diego, i have applied for RN and LVN CA Board. My question is: White i'm waiting for NCLEX, can i Apply for phlebptomy license with My italian degree transcription? Or do i have to make a phlebotomy corse necesarily?

Tank you for Your answer! I have applied for RN and LVN CA BOARD In LVN CA Board site i have found: "An applicant may take the NCLEX exam 8 times a year or every 45 days. As long as he/she applies each time and pays the applicable fees ($150.00 retake application fee and the $200.00 NCLEX fee)." In RN CA Board site i have bene able to find only this: "To retake the NCLEX-RN Examination, you must submit to the Board a completed Request for Reapply/Repeat Examination form along with the reapplication fee of $150. When the Board issues a notice of failing result, the Request for Reapply/Repeat Examination form is provided to the candidate."......i have also ready the form file, but i have been able to understand if there aren't limit retakes

I think that if i call to all Boards they Will give me this information, won't they?

Therefore i had understood well In Italy we have 3 years, 5400 theoretical hours and 2070 clinical hours, every year has 2 semester in wich we have therotical hours and clinica hours contemporanealy, but for pratical hours there isn't a precise order..for example in the first year i started by geriatric clinical hours While another students started by Emergency clinical hours While another students started by pediatric clinical hours and so on.... Do you think that it is a serious problem for me and that there isn't possibility of being accepted? also for LVN Board? I have read another thread here, but i Haven't understood if the concurrency is also required for LVN Board. I have read in a thread here that there are 15 States wich require the concurrency, but is there a governative site in wich i can find this information? in CA Board i Haven't been albe to find chi information. I'm worry that CA won't accept me and i would like to find less restrictive States.

Hello i have applied for LVN CA Board and for RN CA Board. i have a italian nurse, my degree has a program of 3 years. I know that RN CA Board is very selective atout accepting international nursing program. Therefore could i have good chances that at least LVN CA Board Will accept me? My italian nursing program is most extensive than LVN CA program for both practical and teoretical hours ( only lack is the pediatric pratice...i have many pedriatic teoretical hours..but i have many obstetric pratical hours)

I just read "application packet" I have already applied for RN Board, and there is a specific form for foreign graduates (i have already sent transcription and certificated translation and i'm waiting their answer), is there a specific form for LVN also? I think that I Will Phone LVN to be sure that i Will Apply correctly :-)
