  1. Thank you for your help Miiki. I'm definitely going over questions and videos. I'm pretty nervous.
  2. Hi everyone! I need help or tips to ace this phone screening I will have on Wednesday. I'm a nursing student (for RN-BSN) off for summer vacation. You can say this will be my first health job interview since the only work experience I have was a couple of months at Sonic during the summer two years ago and Dollar General three years ago. I haven't worked because I wanted to focus on getting accepted into the Nursing program I am in. I do have my CNA I just haven't worked as one. Also, I have volunteer experience as a hospice volunteer and a activity volunteer at another nursing home. I applied for the PCA Newborn NICU position at a children's hospital an hour away from my home town. I really want to work at this hospital because I want to be able to work there once I graduate as an RN (this has been on my mindset since I started at my University). Please help I don't really know what to expect! I have found some information but would like to get pointed in the right direction a bit more! I really do feel this is my opportunity to get into the hospital I've been hoping to work after graduation and passing the NCLEX of course.
  3. "You had one job Bill. The electricity bill doesn't pay by itself Bill."
  4. "What? Are you going to wait for me to change the lightbulb to hun?"
  5. Thanks! I wish the greatest good luck to everyone!
  6. To everybody on the wait list I have good news for you since I just received good news! My spot will be open since I just told I am accepted to UT Austin School of Nursing!
  7. I'm waiting on reply from UT Austin and UTHSC Houston before I know for sure.
  8. That's awesome :) I'm finishing up on some pre-reqs here and it's been a hassle in registering for the classes.
  9. I got mine this morning around 9. It only took one day for me.
  10. Congratss! I might be! I still have to talk about moving and stuff with my parents...right now I'm at UT in Austin. Is anybody else from here?
  11. Congrats!! We made it through the waiting :))
  12. I had mine July 17th.
  13. OMG! I did too! I'm soo Happy!
  14. I hope sooo!! Not receiving a rejection a letter keeps me hopeful!!! Do you know if UTMB has a waitlist?
  15. Omg! Mine was after yours too on the 17 and haven't heard anything either
  16. Congratss!!! :)
  17. Yes UTHSC H has a thread.
  18. I wish you the best of luck!! :) if you need any more help with math you can always pm to help you solve a problem, etc.
  19. They weren't bad choices because I used those too. I got a 98 in the math portion but math is my strongest subject. So before you retake I would focus on understand the math problems and then study the other portions. You did good on the others :) I used the Hesi Admission Assessment Exam Review ed. 3 and the McGraw-Hill's 3 Evolve Reach Hesi A2 Practice Test to study for the exam. On math: I would memorize the conversions for sure! And the degree conversion equation F= (9/5)©+32.(a question that required was in the book so it might pop up on yhe test) Practice on understanding how to the mixed fractions problems.Did you have trouble with the ratios also? The book helps cover theses concepts and the mcgraw book gives practice questions. The book also gives the conversions you need to know, the roman numerals, and time. It also explains how to do mix fractions. The book provides the basic so I understand where others come from. But what you don't understand you can always look up. But it does explain how the test will be. :)
  20. Did you use the Hesi Admission Assessment 3 ed book to study with? This book explains everything and is what I used to study for my Hesi exam.
  21. If you would like too, invest in the McGraw's 3Evolve Hesi A2 Practice tests. They're 3 Hesi exams that will help :) I made a 92.4 overall but i didnt have to take chemistry. Math 98 Grammer and Vocab 92 English 84 A&P 96 For math know your conversions and Fractions. A&P is basic but one or two things might be detailed. Study some basic medical terminology in addition to the vocab words but learn them :)
  22. Me too! But nothing :/ Milow I'm doing the same thing
  23. I think that was my interviewer!
  24. I got a call for my SS number last Wednesday but she didn't say that. She said something about for she needed for the potential admitted students for Spring 2015 so I thought she meant they were going to review application again or something.
  25. Hope everything goes well for! I don't remember what mine taught, I was nervous lol...
