For a person who live out of state, how can a person get information because the site is no help at all. Deadlines and the such...please help. Thanks.

I'm currently in the LPN program hoping I would have enough time to apply for the Spring 2018 Transition/Bridge option, which the deadline is September 1st. I have the HESI book and I have already completed all of my prerequisites. In regards to the Nursing Skills Update Course NRG-051, is it required to be taken and completed before we apply to the program?

@Bogey123 Good for you...it also depends where you live and how well you do during the interview process, by negotiating salary (that's what I've been told).

I'm currently in Boston but my immediate family lives in Melbourne as well. I'm in the process of completing the same degree within the same time frame as you. I lived in Melbourne and I loved it, I also worked at Wuestoff for a couple of years before I decided to pursue nursing. In Boston hospital don't hire ADN graduates, but I know that the Health First and Health System medical centers hire ADN graduates.

Being a PCA in a hospital setting is for the thick-skinned (IMO). Once you get on your unit, get report from the other aid and begin your vitals and finger sticks because once the Nurses are done getting report frist thing their going to need is that information. Distractions may come in the way like a call light, a patient needing assistance, discharging a patient out at the last minute for the pervious shift, transporting a patient, picking up the slack from the previous shift, a code, and etc., all while taking vitals. I had my moments and their where a few times where I told a few of them to step outside because I didn't want to be disrespected or disrespectful in front of the patients and/or staffs...There are some that may try to test you, but you have to stand firm and abrasive against the storm. There are the Nurses who really don't try to be mean or rude, its just the pressure that their under. Give your best 12 hours and leave it there at the end of your shift.

I found out on Christmas Eve which was nice. I applied for the spring 2015 evening start.

I received my Christmas gift from RCC of my Acceptance and I am so Happy...Thank you God!

Was the class difficult because the school is asking for a 90% to pass that class.

Oh okay, thanks. All this time I assumed that you were starting the program in the Winter 2015. What days were your clinicals? Since you completed level, 1 would you have any tips you would like to share that you learned along the way. Thanks.

I was able to transfer those classes. So when school begins i will take pn 101 and math...plus clincials.

I submitted transcripts from other schools I've attended in the past. My cumulative GPA meets the requirement...I just don't know. The feeling I am experiencing is a bit fuzzy maybe because a response was already made so quick. I will just Pray about it and let it be until the letter comes in the mail.

Hello, Since there hasn't been a recent tread for RCC-Spring 2015; I just decided to begin one for current prospects who have applied and waiting for a hopeful response. As for me, I attended their Open House session a week before the deadline as well as toured the campus. At the session we were told that the Teas exam will only be taken and accepted at RCC. I was not to happy about that since I took it before at another school and paying for it again. So I had to suck it up and retake the exam again. On that same day I submitted my application to the Admission office and now the wait begins.

Well I called the school today again, and the lady told me that a letter was mailed out to me. When i asked if it was a denial or acceptance letter she said she didn't know. Already i assume it may be a letter of denial. I don't want to think the wrost, but a package and letter is very obvious. I will wait and see.

I actually called the school today, and was told that my application is next up for review. So I guess the waiting begins, but I will continue to follow up with them. Since the school is a bit pricey, if you don't mind me asking, how will you be financing the school?
