  1. I'm looking to order a holiday top or two and Uniform Advantage has great prices.. I usually wear a small in Koi and Peaches tops and a medium in Grey's Anatomy.. What size should i order in these??
  2. Gah. Just started nursing. So sad to see this going on on my floor. Makes me want to just quit already.
  3. This is where I'm leaning. Look at the Dallas nurses who have it now. My kids already lost their father., no job is worth them having to lose their mother too.. Or heaven forbid, me bringing this home to them!
  4. I have a pair of danskos that hurt one of my feet.. i know i'm strange, it must be how i walk on that foot because they kind of rub on the sides?? idk. they are wearable but not for every shift, iykwim?.. So i want to order a pair of Allegria shoes to try. My Dansko's are a size 40. My question is do Allegria and Danskos run the same size wise?? Thanks! Amy
  5. UPDATE!! Off of night shift starting next month!!!!! Had to sacrifice full time stays to do it which means my health insurance cost goes up significantly and I'm only scheduled 24 hours/week but there is a ton of time to pick up in the hospital so I'm sure I'll be fine!!! Thank you you for all your advice and support!
  6. White pants Woth any scrub top we want. Most other facilities just require scrubs. I'm in Buffalo, NY
  7. He day evening position is 3 days/week mostly 7a - 3p with some 3p - 11p.. And then I can pick up whatever shifts work for me. I should hear about that this week.. Right now I basically sleep when the kids are in school and then take another nap before work.. And I still feel like a zombie all the time. I've also bid off to a bunch of other positions and it seems like this stage in my life shouldnt last long.. So that's good at least. Hopefully only 2.5 more months.. Ok just got home so I'm off to bed!
  8. Well.. i made no secret of the fact i wanted off this crazy shift.. and now there is a possibility i can be put on part time day/evenings starting in November. Nothing is written in stone and it's kind of a long shot but my nurse manager is going to try for me. (the other girl she was looking at for the position is an external applicant and she failed her med calc test for the hospital).. so pray, send vibes, cross your crossables for me.. Thanks!
  9. Thanks everyone. I've learned that I cannot move to a new position or even a new schedule until I het 6 months in. So I have at least 3 more months of this. I'm just going to try to stop fighting against it and accept it and try to make the best of it. I pray that my body adjusts soon and that there is a position I can move into easily at the end if the 6 months.
  10. I just graduated in May and was thrilled to get a job within a month of graduating with the hospital system i most wanted to be a part of.. I have gone through 2 months of orientation and am in my last couple weeks and have now been put on my regular shift.. 8 hour nights.. I've only done 8 of them (5 in a row, 2 off, 3 more, now i'm on 1 off, then 5 more in a row) and i am feeling horrible, and depressed and trapped, and upset.. and to top it off i'm sick! omg.. i feel like a big complaining baby, but i really dont think i can handle this. I have 2 children, ages 9 & 10, and i feel like i am just completely miserable or sleeping now all the time.. not really how i had envisioned this going.. so has anyone done this and survived?? am i stuck? Should i just find another position somewhere else, even for less pay? i am just feeling horrid.
  11. JUST bought Danskos last night, the walking company didn't have any wides in stock, and the regular seemed ok.. now i'm wondering if they are.. i guess i'll wear them around the house and see. The thing l liked was that i have 30 days to return.. A coworker let me try on her alegria clogs and those seemed great.. so i may return the danskos and get those.. eh. not sure yet. lol
