  1. Hello all ! I have a question about Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC orientation process, I've heard during orientation there are 2 tests given, 1 is a pharm test and 2 is something like critical care test. Anyone please can give some more info how difficult the tests are?
  2. Hi MissJessRN I also feel that my experience is useless. What I did with Lenox Hill, I applied for every position that was posted online to make sure nurse recruiters would notice it eventually. Once the nurse recruiter called me, he told me about one position that I wasn't sure I qualify for. He told me to call him in one week to see if nurse manager was interested to see me. So, 1 week later I called and left a message for him that if I didn't qualify for that position if he has positions available that match my experience. In a few days I had interview for the position that matched my experience, but I was told there are also 2 internal candidates that want to get that spot. So, I felt like my time was wasted but at the same time it was a positive experience. So, my advice is apply for as many positions as possible and then wait for them to call you. Also remember that it takes several months to get a call, I waited at least 3 -4 months.
  3. Hi Idani, can you tell me about the interview process and if any tests were given to you prior to interview or after? What kind of questions were asked on the interview? Thank you.
  4. Hello, my situation was that I took all prerequisite classes in a regular City college, and for some reason they didn't accept me to their nursing program. I appealed, but by the time they sent me a letter that they decided to accept me, I found a small private nursing school that was happy to have me. So, my advice is shop around and you will not be disappointed.
  5. Hi! Can you tell me did you apply more than 3 times and what happened? Thank you. I submitted my application for 3 positions, but I see more positions available... What should I do?
  6. Hi. Definitely become an RN (with BSN), because LPN profession will be eliminated in the near future.
  7. Thank you for the basic info. I searched the site, few people asked the same question but there were no answers.
  8. Please guys, please help me. Anyone recently took pharm. test in Beth Israel Hospital in Brooklyn or Manhattan? I am not a good test taker. Please tell me the specifics. The paper that they gave me has too many medications and I will not be able to remember all of them.
