  1. Hi arya! I sent both the police and nbi clearances..yes, less than 3 mos. old.
  2. Thanks silverdragon! Just for clarification by 'accepted', did you mean applicants that have been given decision letters? Or have started their first pack? :-) thanks again.
  3. I am in the same dilemma as you, nmc have yet to clear specifics. The way i understand the guide to transition, applications that were started before October will continue to be processed the old system way, released with DLs and will be required to take ONP. While those with DLs prior to september will have a choice to take the old or new system. But for new applicants starting October will have no other choice but to comply with the.new system, that is, online exam and OSCE. Well...the nmc really gave a complicated instruction there. I hope they will shed some light to our confusion and post a better and clearer update pretty soon. In the meantime, we'll follow the old system. I'll post my first hand experience here once i get there and hopefully a positive story to tell.
  4. Thank you so much callista_05! Its cool to know that you were able to go there even if you are just starting with pack 2 (or was it the decision letter? got confused there). More than anything, congratulations! I guess you are already doing your induction? Right now, im patiently waiting for pack 2 and hopefully, accomplish things the soonest. Thanks again. :-)
  5. Glad to be of help..yes, i know the feeling of being financially constraint that's why i keep myself informed so that it will be easier for me to track my expenses. I also want to steer away from opportunistic agents that takes advantage of ignorance. Anyway, good luck on your australian dream! Im sure you will achieve it. :-)
  6. Hi! I think every country i know of requires a clinical experience, by that i mean having been employed in a hospital for at least a year. UK, Aus, Canada requires this and an IELTS score of at least 7 in all modules. You also need to sit for CRNE (or NCLEX-RN which takes effect next year January 2015) if you plan to practice in Canada. You can check each country's registering body to know more of their criteria for internationally educated nurses. As for Middle East, i believe that experience depends on the post/unit (hospital or clinic) you are vying for but most require 2-3 yrs experience now AND you also have to take Prometric exam or their equivalent licensure exam in order to join the registry.
  7. If you are comfortable with your chosen timeframe for review, you are good to go. Drills help a lot! It helps you to be familiar with the way questions are formulated (some are tricky yet can be outsmarted). Relax. Don't push yourself too hard but don't be complacent either. Don't worry you'll be fine. Breathe. ;-) Best of luck on your test!
  8. What do you mean by 'complete'? If you were able to meet the requirements of APHRA there will be no problem.--> Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency - Overseas Practitioners Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia - IQNM: Criteria 1 - 8 for internationally qualified registered nurses I agree, you can actually do it by yourself. It will not only save you a hefty amount but also able to have a knowledge of the process, which is precisely what every nurses should be aware of. Well, if you don't want to get your hands dirty, go ahead and hire a third party. As for completeness, i suggest that you make a checklist of documents to be submitted. Double check the instructions (authenticated, with school/hospital seal, etc.) and if you have other questions and clarifications, you can email them directly. Most importantly READ. They post updates on their website every now and then.
  9. To the thread starter, Thank you for providing us readers with experience based information regarding expired nclex pass letters and its reapplication to get the coveted license. HOPE is restored. I passed my nclex for California state in 2008 but never got my license because i dont have SSN. I thought i wasted time, effort and money for pursuing that dream of becoming a USRN. When i came across this thread and went on reading posts from other succesful nurses, i've realized i can still live that dream. However, im currently processing my UK NMC registration and im grateful to have been blessed with these opportunities. For now, i am taking this path and when im finally settled, i will try to do a lot of deep contemplation if i should pick up where i left off. God bless all the nurses out there who never gave up on their dreams. Cheers!
  10. Thank you so much for this! I also passed PNLE in the same same year/s as you..im so glad you've mentioned that as well. These information will really help me accomplish my pack 2 in no time. I hope you get your DL the soonest! ..with no delays. May i add you on fb? (pm me your email or acct name perhaps)
  11. Yup, i did a little backread and you mentioned Search thats why. I hope mine wouldn't take that long.. If you could please share a few details regarding additional docs that i should prepare for pack 2? I might as well prepare them while waiting..btw, do i need to present the original copy of my board certificate together with the nmc form to prc? (coz my originals are already with the agency and i live 9hrs away from manila so i will have to get it if need be.) thanks a lot!
  12. You can do the NMC yourself. You will have to do much of the work anyway. Good luck!
  13. If you've got the needed ielts to take the CAP, do that. Its the fastest route to living your dream. You can scout for a job online while doing your CAP or you can tap your friends or relatives living in NZ to help you out in finding an opening. I also heard Aureus offers assistance in finding schools that caters CAP. Check em out.
  14. Hi marvs! NWP with greenfields right? Im still short on posts, cant send a pm. Try [email protected], id love to join the group. Thank you!

Like you, i also dont mind taking the third batch but i would really be.happy to join the november group. Anyway, how long did it took for your pack 2 to be delivered? I hope we can keep in touch..i'd really appreciate your help on this.
