So I apparently can't pm yet... but try emailing me at [email protected] so we can maybe exchange more info. I was looking at Massachusetts for my next assignment just to cut travel cost mainly. I'm a little hesitant bc of the snow thing!!! Arizona has been on my list of possible places so like I said email me so we can talk ab it a little more!
  4. Thank you for responding! So, I can't pm apparently bc I don't have enough credits or something but I have looked on many of the boards and it seems never ending and unhelpful. I will try researching again. Majority of these renew in 2 yrs so I have time. I remember being told of placing license on hold have you heard of this? I ask bc I know each star requires u to work for a certain amt of hrs usually. I will not
  5. Hey everyone I am new to this traveling thing. I am not from a compact state so I'm a little nervous ab the renew process and what I should do for the licenses I have. I currently hold LA, WA, NC, CO, and PN. I am confused on what continuing education I need to do! I am afraid to get any other license until I figure this out! Please help :-)
  6. This is my first assignment that I was able to bring my boys. I don't regret it at all. The first assignment was a quick move and across country and I chose to leave them bc it would have prob been very hard on them. I am now in NC and couldn't be happier with the. I found my own housing and had lots of options. I have a 10 lb schnauzer and 80 lb blue heeler/lab. I do work 12 hr shifts nights. My boys seem to do fine. I walk them multiple times a day and then they sleep while I'm at work. Then they sleep again when I get home :) I do like the idea of a sitter/dog walker but if you work nights how does this work they come after you go into work?! I do take them to day care on some days If it seems like I haven't been able to get them out as much as I would like due to weather or whatever! On my days off I make it a point to explore and take them with me! My boys are 9 and 4 and i don't feel like it's cruel at all. I felt it was cruel leaving them behind. There is nothing better then coming home to that wagging tail!!! In all I would say...adopt a dog they will change your life!!!

Hi I am only in my 2nd assignment it will be ending Oct 18th. I have not yet met any travelers so I am also traveling alone... I am in NC currently but trying to decide on the next move. I am an oncology nurse or will do MS/tele. I have been waiting in that assignment where I meet other travelers but I always seem to miss them by a week or so! I have a bf who lives in louisiana and works he is unable to travel with me as of now. I do have 2 pups that travel with me though. If interested please contact me!!!
  9. Has anyone traveled to Winston-Salem NC for work? I am a relatively new travel nurse and there is a position posted for Oncology which is my love. My concern is I see this posting it seems every few months. I cannot find any blogs noting that it is a fantastic place for a travel nurse or a not so travel friendly spot. Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!
