  1. I just had a quick question concerning nursing licensure while in CRNA school and seeing if anyone else was in them same position. I currently have a compact North Carolina nursing license that I have been using for school in Kentucky. I still hold my North Carolina driver license, however, I do not live in North Carolina anymore due to school, but I may go back to NC once I complete my program. My NC nursing license expires in 3 months. I was just seeing if I would be able to renew my NC nursing license while temporarily living in Kentucky or would I need to apply for an Kentucky compact nursing license. Thanks!
  2. What are the downsides? When I had my interview the seniors had pretty much all had good things to say. Can see living in harrogate could be a factor as well as finding housing for clinicals.
  3. I saw you applied last year. Did you get into LMUs program?
  4. I believe their office closes at 4:30pm so hopefully we will get our calls tomorrow!
  5. I interview this upcoming Friday! How about you? Are you coming from out of state or are you instate? I read pretty much the same things you did, was hoping to find out more about the program and school but it seems like LMU does not have much of an online presence.
  6. Was wondering who else has an interview that is coming up next week for LMU’s CRNA program. Also would appreciate anyone’s experience with LMUs program.
  7. Yeah, I saw that. I believe they might have one or 2 more interview days depending on how many people applied. Hopefully we will hear something after the next round of interviews.
  8. I got an email my application is still under consideration, 4 days after my interview.
  9. Has anyone been waitlisted and got a email for acceptance? I did a interview earlier this year and got wait listed so I’m wondering if anyone got accept after being waitlisted.
  10. Has anyone received a letter yet?
  11. Thanks for the info. Did you have your interview earlier this year or in the previous years? And was just wondering if they just asked more personal questions to gauge your personality or did they dissect your resume and mostly ask questions on that?
  12. Hey guys, Seeing if anyone else has an interview at ECU ( Eastern Carolina University) for the CRNA DNP cohort for May 2019 or already had one. How are you guys preparing for your interview and if anyone else has been through it what would you recommend.
  13. Yes, i know i should of said this as soon as i signed my papers. Its my first hospital job and was all excited and as soon as i got my schedule it dawned upon me. However not sure if it matters i only have my march schedule. The trip is in april that im planing. I know its still late notice and already emailed my manager. Btw this trip was booked before my hire date..
  14. Well i just found out about the position about 2 weeks ago, i was waiting to talk to my manager in person about ny trip plans. This is my second day of orientation and i wont be on the floor for the next 2 weeks. I don't believe the schedule for April has been made yet. Ive already book this trip. I just assumed that they would of asked me if i had any plans due to acquiring this new job.
  15. Hello, wasnt sure where to post this but i recently was hired for a neuro/spine unit and some questions that hopefully you guys can answer especially someone who deals with scheduling. So i started my orientation on monday, first 2 weeks in company orientation and what not. Then i start my floor orientation, i already have my schedule for the month of march. My question is i planned a week vacation in the begining of april for about a week. I have bought the plane tickets and resort fees and everything. I was wondering if the manager of the unit will allow me to take this week off even though im still in orientation under a preceptor. Has anyone had this experience. Thanks for your responses Sorry for the bad editing using my phone.
  16. The HURST content was helpful in a way i suppose... However to tell you the truth... i did not have as much "content" questions on Nclex. However, everyones test is different so you might have a lot of questions asking specific content. The Hurst Q trainers were pretty good but unfortunately they only give you 6 of them. I came a hold of kaplan the week before my nclex, the only videos I watched was the decision tree video I've been hearing so much about. I didn't use once during my NCLEX. But i heard it is really helpful for other people. The Questions and the Qtrainers create a good foundations i guess on how to answer nclex questions. They help you get into the grove on answering "Nclexy". If you have time... You can go over the Saunder book i suppose. My girlfriend who also is in nursing went over it during her last month of school.. it took her about a month and a half... but shes a crazy nerd who likes to know every little detail. I looked in it for clarification on something. But i had a pretty good base on content information already.
  17. Nice, i just finished up my NCLEX about 4 hours ago. Had a lot of SATA 20 or more... a lot of med questions which scared me because didn't really review meds and 3 drag and drop. Did the PVT when i got home and got the god pop-up. Congrats.
  18. So I just finished the NCLEX today, got about 15-20 SATA, maybe even more... about 10 dreaded medication questions, and the rest was priority, delegation, management, and a nice amount of infection control. I graduated in the beginning of May and I did the live Hurst review in the middle of May,2014. Between that time I took and break and at the end of May i ended up going to North Carolina to go mountain biking with my Girlfriend and her parents. I watched the remainder of the Hurst videos (peds, maternity, ect. during the trip) After the trip and end of May beginning of June i really started getting down to business. I started with the Saunders book 5th ed. I read around 200-250 pages and got extremely tired of it... never really opened it again after that. I did use their CD and did about 500-600 questions at first... but i thought they were pretty easy and didn't bother with them. Scoring around the 70-80% with these questions I then reviewed the Hurst booklet by myself, and a week later i watched the Hurst review Online videos all over again. After going over a specific process i would do questions out of the Lippincott Q&A book for that disease/system i went over in Hurst. Lippincott has hard questions and i was scoring any where between 59- 72%. Depending on what subjects. I did most of the Med-surg portion in the lippicott, didn't touch maternity or Peds. My school also provided us with ATI, i tried doing the practice tests and looking at the review your content... but the ATI questions seemed a little outdated and the review content was extremely boring. I did get a 70% on my predictor exam in school though. About a week and a half left till my nclex i started doing my Hurst Q review tests and i got 86 85 84 88 88 89 out of 125). So i did fairly well on those. I was able to do some Q review questions and the readiness tests as well. Q1 72 Q2 57 Q3 62 Q4 63 Q5 67 Q6 68 didnt do Q7 readiness 67 Some days i was doing hurst and kaplan q reviews on the same day... I wouldn't recommend this, it took me 8-9 hours to do the tests and go over the rationals sometimes. I did spend 8-9 hours everyday in front of the computer for about 4 weeks straight with at least 5-6 hours of decent studying while the other messing around facebook, reddit, movies, blah blah.. Day before my nclex, hung out with girlfriend in the morning, played a couple of games Fifa with my buddies and went home watch some Curb Your Enthusiasm and fell asleep around 1-2am (my nclex was at 2pm and I'm more of a night owl who can't fall asleep early) Woke up in the morning ate some breakfast, watch USA vs Germany game. And left for my nclex, got 81 questions was out by 3:15pm. I tried the PVT and got the good pop-up and going to do the quick results once i get the option
  19. Got about the same scores as you except I didnt do Q7... I test Thursday as well. Good luck
  20. I think your looking at it the wrong way... Many of these people here just graduated Nursing school, most of the don't have an idea in what direction to study for NCLEX. You know how it was once you graduated... It was choatic you didn't know were to start. Most people come here seeking advice and ideas how to start their studying and opinions of others for review. This comment may discourage people from seeking help. Last time I checked, this is a NCLEX discussion form so these questions are acceptable. If you don't want to see constant questions posted and it seems like your not interested in helping people out... why are you here.
  21. I have one more test to go but my scores were for hurst 86 85 84 88 88 out of 125 How did you do? Im taking my Nclex this thursday.
  22. So just a quick up date For Hurst my scores are now 86 85 84 88 88 Out of 125 Have one more test to go I was about to log on kaplan from a friend and did 2 Q trainer tests so far Q1: 72 Q2: 57 The Q2 really discourage me, the kaplan questions are a bit more difficult than the Hurst questions from what ive seen... Has anyone else experienced this?
  23. This is the message i got when i entered the website... Kaplan Nursing's NCLEX-RN®*NCLEX-RN Practice Test Saturday, June 21, 2014 7-9 pm ET
