  1. Does anybody have any experience with NNAS? So far, I've read the site but it would be great to hear from people who have gone through the process :)
  2. Hi Glady! How is your NNAS process going? I'm from manitoba :) what made you decide to apply for LPN instead of RN? :)
  3. jmariel replied to jmariel's topic in Philippines
Thank you for the advice? Where did you review? :)
  4. Oops, I might have read one of their descriptions wrong. What do they mean by " NNAS is a partnership of Canadian nursing regulatory bodies (except Quebec and the Territories)." ?
  5. Hello! I just want to share. I heard that if you plan on working in Quebec, you must work there for at least 2 years before moving to another province. But, this is just from what I have heard so I cannot guarantee that this is 100% true. I suggest you look into everything before you move and not just rely on your agency for all the information :) I also suggest that you check out the NNAS website. You do not have to go through it if you plan to work in Quebec, but if you plan to work in another province you must apply to the NNAS. I suggest you read the website it is very informative :)

Okay, I'll give it a go once if I have the time. Thank you for the help.

I found the book useful during my college days but I am hesitant to use it during review as it is a Nclex based book. Did you find the actual content helpful or just the questions?
  9. Thank you Silverdragon. I hope someone posts about it soon. It would be great to hear from anyone who has undergone the process. But, as it is sill very new, I don't think a lot of people have applied yet.

Im not sure whether I should read saunders because it's a nclex based book and not a NLE based book :/
  11. So, documents will be sent to NNAS but the application form will be sent to the provincial college? Yes, NNAS is very new. I believe its has only been a month when it started. Silverdragon, do you know anyone who has applied NNAS already?
  12. I believe so. From my understanding; you submit all your documents to NNAS and NNAS will be the one to send your documents to the College of Nursing of the province of your choice. I believe NNAS is just there to ensure all your documents are complete and authentic. :)
  13. Also, if you haven't, I suggest you first check out the NNAS website NNAS / SNEI You need to register there first :)

Hello! I'm taking the NLE this November. I was wondering if any passers and topnotchers out there could give me advice? It is advisable to read the Maglaya book or just books/materials your review center gives? Thank you!
  15. Hi Glady :) I am in the same situation as you. I have yet to decide which path to take. I hope everything goes well with your decision and application process! :) If you can, please keep me updated :) I haven't applied/registered for the NNAS yet but I will sometime in the future.
  16. Some are already citizens while others are still looking for ways to get to california. They are still in the philippines though. I read your previous post about the cases. It reminded me of what happened to a student who graduated 2013. He had the 3-3-3 but it did not qualify because some of his cases were done after the semester (in the summer). He had no choice but to do it in the summer because there was not that much births during the semester. Thank you so much for your info steppybay. Btw, are you from u.s. or canada?
  17. I have a question, so in california they require 5-5-5 for cases? That's going to be tough for newer graduates because the cases needed here in phils is 3-3-3. I am curious because I have some batchmates looking to work in california.
  18. Does that apply to all IEN? or just those without a visa?
  19. jmariel replied to jmariel's topic in Canada
is that for both LPN and RN's? :)
  20. Ooops, sorry i should have been more specific. So the CCA is that hard? Are you also an IEN? :) Do you know any websites about that?
  21. jmariel replied to jmariel's topic in Canada
Do you live in Winnipeg or near Winnipeg? That's great to hear. Hopefully, there'll be job openings when I move.
  22. I'm curious, are you from the Philippines? :)
  23. What Colleges are you referring to? Yes I am aware IEN have to under go the CCA. I was just looking for some people to share their experience in the CCA :) I'm applying as an RN.

    Are you from Manitoba?
  25. So to clarify, a basic nursing program is just a BSN program?
