  1. Thanks for the help and clarification! Hopefully in the future an ICU will take me. ?
  2. I'm polishing my resume since my original one was tailored for 2019 me who was looking for her first job. I took out all my clinical rotations and I'm pretty much spacing everything out because I only have/had one nursing job. I work on a med-surg/telemetry stepdown unit, so you best believe we had the WORST and sickest of New York's COVID bunch. Should I just generalize that I know how to manage ventilators and sedative titration or can I actually name call the situation specifically like "Provided care to critically ill patients during the wake and peak of the COVID-19 pandemic"? Thanks for the help.
  3. GOOD LUCK, future RN uworld was really all you needed. you'll kick butt.
  4. Fingers crossed. You took it today??
  5. Hello again! Yes, I relied on uWorld for the pharmacology. In the beginning, however, I used Virtual ATI and was extrememly shocked to learn that Pharm was my strongest point (lol, that is a sham!). Closer to the test, uWorld really was my sole study source along with that 35-page guide around here. I honest to God did not stress out on medications because I knew I wasn't going to know all of them. I had been hearing the stories of my classmates receiving medication question after medication question with drugs they had not heard of before. I had a devil may care attitude with it and was extremely lucky to receive pregabalin, metronidazole, and some others I definitely encountered at least once. Bestest of luck to you, Racrn! Go walk in there with the knowledge and confidence of the things you've learned in nursing school.
  6. Hi cuteangel, to piggyback on Racrn's post, do you think it *is* test anxiety? What do you think your weaknesses are?
  7. I've actually never heard of that program. Good luck to you!
  8. the case study at the end was experimental. I *was* going to do it, then the proctor was like, "this is optional." decided I'd rather leave right then and there, finished the survey, and was on my way out. they're not implementing those types of questions until March 2019, I think.
  9. Update!! I passed!
  10. The pass is official now! To answer your question, I think I had one? I've never heard of anyone having mental health for the bulk of their NCLEX though o_o Good luck, op you'll do great. enjoy that spa day!
  11. Hi! My test... I don't even know what to say about it, ahaha. My heart was pounding through my ears and my leg went stiff for like 20 minutes and I tried really hard to ignore those to focus on the questions. They were mostly leadership and management. Lots of SATA, three EKG strips, one ordering, no math. Ended at 75 on a question I definitely knew I got correct. I have about 200 or so questions left on my uWorld, but based on the recommendation of my friend I made sure to finish the leadership and management section in their own mini tests. I'm super glad I did because I said on another post that people overlook that and try to overload on med surg and medications. Speaking of medication... I'm VERY glad I knew all of mine. They were very basic. The NCLEX is not so bad and I'm glad I listened to my classmates who reassured me. I've scoured this website reading various stories and scared myself the last few nights.
  12. I used uWorld. It sounds like you are using it correctly if you are reading the rationales. Just take a deep breath and make sure you're not letting your anxiety stop you from absorbing the material! If it is, take a step back and do something enjoyable, then go back to it. If you have any questions, I'm here to help! I just took mine yesterday.
  13. I see, I see! :) Congrats again! I took mine in NY and will have to wait until the unofficial results Friday morning because the BoN here does not update for DAYS. lol
  14. Will do! If you don't have time to finish the questions, at least try and finish the leadership/management section in its own test. A lot of people overlook it.
  15. congrats! I used uWorld as well & took mine today too with 75 questions. how did you find out you passed so quickly?
