  1. Hi @YING XIAOyou get 24mins to do 40 MATH Questions Basic math adding and subtracting regular # an Positive & negative# alot questions adding ,subtracting multiplying, dividing fractions & couple on decimals an Percents , Integers, Rational,Square roots there was one absolute value question Go over fractions (adding/subtracting/dividing/multiplying fractions), finding the percentages of numbers, there was 2 questions with radicals, there were many negative + or - questions, there were like 2 PEMDAS questions, and the rest was basic addition/subtraction problems. Reading Was 50mins For 50 Questions this link is what the school suggests to practice for the reading portion of the exam: https://www.ereadingworksheets.com/free-reading-worksheets/reading-comprehension-worksheets/ https://www.veebpnprogram.org/student-resources The exam is not graded like normal tests they just tell u if u pass the grade level required they don't give u a grade like 90% or 60% or A ,B, or C to pass the Math portion you only need to get a 9th grade level on the exam an to pass the reading u need to pass an 11th grade reading level or higher for the reading portion so I beleive the grade they give u will be a 9, 10 11, or 12 So if your grade is a 9= that means u only pass or reach a 9th grade reading level an u did not pass If your grade is a 10= then that means u reached a 10th grade reading level an u did not pass If your grade is an 11= that means u reached an 11th grade reading level an u passed the reading portion of the exam If your grade is a 12= that means u reached 12th grade reading level an u passed the reading portion I wish you good luck I know u will pass use the link above to practice reading an answering questions an go the library get 11th grade reading exam books for additional practice I do not have any more information to give you because I did not attend Veeb I decided to go to a different school so good luck future nurse!
  2. @KayMuckette thanks you for DM me the info about the med dosages math class
  3. @KayMucketteKayMuckette you don't have to make 3 more posts because I decided to try a different way I clicked on your name and I was able to send u a DM
  4. @KayMuckette OK thank you and good luck with your exams I know u will do well on those exams I tried DM you and it still said kaymuckette can't receive messages all nurses is being annoying with this 15 posts rule u already made 15 posts so I don't know why it's not working please make 3 more posts just write a couple words in each technology is so smart now a days maybe it detected 2 of the posts only had 1 word in it you can write the same thing from your last message that consisted of a paragraph just break it into 3 separate messages 3 sentences 1 post can say "I have alot of exams next week " the second post can say " I hope I do well on these exams" whatever u want to write u can write I'm sorry that this website is being so technical when I first joined all nurses I couldn't understand why I couldn't send DM an then I Googled it an I saw the rule so I just posted like 20 comments an then it worked I just went on diff topics on allnurses and I wrote 1 sentence which was good luck to all the students words of encouragement stuff like that @KayMuckette do u have to take a math exam every semester in Veeb I keep asking this question but no one has answered the question?
  5. @KayMuckette hi I tried sending my email to your direct message inbox but it won't allow me to do so until allnurses has a rule that everyone must make 15 posts before they can send or receive direct messages so far U have only made 12 posts so can u make 3 more posts please so I can send u a DM maybe u can reply to my question about the math class just separate your answer into 3 diff posts
  6. Thank you @KayMuckette the week before Veeb starts I plan to take off an just get some rest I wish I could take off a month but I can't I can imagine the workload must be stressful I am So used to being stressed out I had to work overnight because I had college classes In The day time and I had a CNA class at night time I still had to help kids with homework make food and freeze it in the freezer for the week I was getting no sleep I did not have time for myself or selfcare ( and everyone should always make time for self care) I hated working overnight its so taxing on the body but I had no choice students in my CNA class traveled from Brooklyn or diff boroughs to my CNA school bc the price was cheap our class was late at night so some students had to take the train to Brooklyn or the bronx I was worried about them because everyday there is a murder or stabbing reported on the train so I volunteered to give them a ride every night before class started I printed out a CNA practice test but I made extra copies to hand out to students who may want the practice test when class started everyone wanted a copy I have so much stress in my life but I still printed out a copy for all my classmates and I helped everyone that I could so I appreciate you @KayMuckette for being a kind person and volunteering to send me some PowerPoints I hope u can send them as soon as possible I am not picky whatever u can find is fine with me if u have even one PowerPoint that has some math questions from the medical dosages math class that is from the 1st semester I would really appreciate it I believe the class is called vocational adjustments I will send my email to your inbox @KayMuckette please let me know ( or anyone else if u attend veeb u can also reply) do we have to take a medical dosages math exam at the beginning of every semester Or no?
  7. @Lisha33 Hi actually even if the teachers have different PowerPoints I would still find the old PowerPoints to be useful .
  8. Hi I know @BMP1117 sent some people on this forum some PowerPoints she forwarded the email that she sent someone else to me but the email did not load I just received a red message from Yahoo saying " message cannot be loaded" I think it's because it was an old email and it included attachments that is what caused the problem nowadays I know people don't really make the time to help others but if anyone who received these attachments can send them to me I would appreciate it.
  9. @BMP1117 I understand it's difficult juggling children an school I am proud of u for going to RN school soon all of your hard work will be worth it an u will graduate with your RN I sent you a direct message with my email address I would really appreciate the notes
  10. Hi @BMP1117 can u please send me the notes U said you would send to me I know your busy so I have been waiting for a month I did not want to bother you In a prior post you said u sent these notes to your cousin an a few other students you can just forward the same message U sent to them to me that way u don't have to do much just click 1 thing which is the the forward button An u can send it to me that will only take 1 or 2 minutes to do Best regards
  11. The Registered Nurses that I have spoken to that have completed there 2yr associate degrees at CUNY schools some have said that they have completed the Bachelors in nursing online in 1 year because the Bachelors portion is mostly classes about leadership an ethics and a computer technology in Healthcare class basically alot of writing essays so if u completed your RN at BMCC u can start working in 2yrs and u can complete the Bachelors portion online in a year if u want or u can go in person to class Most nursing schools require students to get a grade of 70 in each nursing class or a grade In The seventies range in each nursing class LIU requires students to get a C+ in every. Nursing class which is equivalent to a 80 at LIU (every schools grading rubric is different) BMCC an Cuny school require u to get a grade in the seventies for each nursing class my sisters friend went to LIU and she received a grade of 70 in 1 of the the nursing classes so they kicked her out the program she transfered to york college where she received her BSN 2yrs ago and now works at Northwell Hospital LIU 16MTH Program is accelerated so it's fast pace the teachers don't have time to go over every little detail with students because there teaching a 4yr program in 16mths so you have to attend class everyday mon-fri which makes it hard to work because after class each day u need to study or else u will fall behind plus u will be exhausted from going to school 40hrs week an working at the hospital during clinicals in order to apply to LIU accelerated program u need to have a bachelors degree in any field to apply and u need an overall 3.3gpa u also need to receive 3.3 in EACH of these classes Anat 1& 2 Chemistry statistics an Microbiology in order to apply a 3.3 is equal to a 88- 90 grade so u need almost a 90 in each of these classes just to apply to the accelerated program ( even if u don't have a 90 in each class u can still apply because if they have available seats left and they don't have enough students that fit the requirement I'm sure they would be happy to admitt people to fill the seats an make money) I understand you really want be finished and done with the BSN as fast as possible u seem like u really want to go to LIU so u should go give it a try if u really want to go there you have to choose whats best for you in the end if it doesn't work out at 1 school u can always start over and attend another school.
  12. I do not see that on Nassaus website maybe it was on there catalog because I did not look on there catalog but if they do have that rule that is OK just try it never hurts to try and apply sometimes U are pleasantly surprised and you may get accepted
  13. Congrats @Tonitoni91 on being in Your 3rd semester your almost there soon U will be a nurse!
  14. Sorry about that @Rose_P soon U will have a nursing license I don't know if U were in RN program or LPN program if u want to go to a RN school u can try Nassau community college or city tech college if u want to do LPN U Should try Veebs or Hunter business institute since u are not in school U should try to study Everything about the class you failed so u can be prepared for next time
  15. Hi don't be upset or depressed try to stay positive people have it much worse than U some are starving they witness murder and all types of horrible abusive things(if you are really depressed of course I can't tell u to just snap put of it that's a clinical condition) it's OK to be sad and upset but the quicker U take action to fix the reason that caused u to fail the test the better U will feel maybe u where working fulltime while u were taking fundamentals maybe u did not know how to Study To Retain The Information alot of people get into nursing school an they realize they can't study the day before the test like they did in high school these questions are not regular multiple choice questions there critical thinking questions some people do giod on written tests but they fail the clinical portion by a couple points so alot of things can cause failure millions of nursing students have failed nursing school more than once but they kept going they had to take ALL the nursing classes over and it took them longer to graduate but they never gave up some people fail the NCLEX 6 times and on the 7th time they finally pass U are not in school right now so u should be studying EVERYTHING about fundamentals if u need more practice with clinicals take a CNA class the next nurse classes like med surg and pharmacology are much harder then fundamentals so u should be studying those subjects before u start those classes u should stay in BMCC if u go to LIU it is way too expensive what if u don't pass 1 of the classes and then u just wasted 40 thousand dollars on 1 semster try BMCC again if u fail again then go to Nassau community college if u fail at Nassau u should try to do a LPN first an then later do a RN Program only go to a expensive private school if u have absolutely NO community college options I know someone who went to a 3yr Bachelors of nursing program she was about to graduate she had 2 classes left she failed a course but your only allowed to fail a course 1 time and in the past she had failed 1 course bc she got sick or something they kicked her out because thus was her 2nd time failing so she lost 60 thousand dollars now she's gonna try community College if u put in hard work soon U will be a RN inspiring other students who failed a test to keep going and never give up I belive YOU can do it you failing that test was not a loss it was A LESSON U need to make changes and prioritize studying U can do it don't give up! @tiff saw
