Hey, how's work? Can you eloborate on your "ONE WEEK class orientation" please? Does it mean paper works, physical exams, tour, then most importantly watching videos and answering questions after? You're lucky to have a full week orientation, class setting. Most facilities will offer 1-2 weeks orientation, and end up only with 1 week orientation including the paper works, videos etc... Were you also given a full week floor orientation? Thanks!

hey no concurrency issue in texas? do i have to be an rn phil, took the licensure exam and passed it in the philippines, to take the nclex-rn in texas? thanks.

- no mention of submitting papers regarding clinical rotations, so i didn't. that's a lot of papers. you're going to give them unnecessary work load. tho i did send them summary of my clinical duties -- over-all hours, hospitals/clinics and their info. also asked my school to send details abt our clinical affiliations... - you will have to mail app form by yourself, of course. they will reply back as to what's needed and what to do next... requirements/papers coming fr school MUST be mailed directly fr school to board, sealed with school seal, envelope... - put your schools info. (ANY OTHER FOREIGN LVN USERS/READERS/LURKERS HERE, PLEASE POST. THANKS.)

PCT = Patient Care Technician? LVN is way better. LVN is licensed, PCT is not. PCT is very much like CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant).

hello everyone! i filed for lvn. got a reply that my school did not include my clinical hours for maternity nursing. so, they sent me the form again to be filled out by the school. sent the form to my school, and my school mailed it back to boards a couple of days ago... anyone has the same issue? another concern. the orange form - declaration of nursing education and/or license. question #5. it's asking for very specific details: the director of nursing, their telephone/fax, date started/completed and number of HOURS WORKED? how did you guys answer these queries? i mean, of course, i know the name of the hospitals i had clinical and their addresses, but other than that like the DON's/instructors fr diff hospitals and their contact infos, that i don't have. most of my clinical instructors are not even working at my school anymore, and some are not fr my school. you know, in the philippines you easily change numbers... then for date started/completed can i input year started/completed the course instead?

hi guys! i'm in the same situation, finding it hard to find a work without a CNA work experience. I just took an accelerated program, and passed the licensure examinations. it's been over a month now, applied for (3) three jobs: 2 (online), and 1 (in person). I have yet to hear from them. Although all these postings has a minimum requirement of at least 6 months to a couple of years work experience. anyone has leads? pls let me know...

I recently finished an accelerated CNA program, and passed the licensure exams. It's been a month now, and it seems like it's hard to find a job esp without work experience yet. I've applied for (3) three jobs; 2 (online) -- a wk ago, and 1 (in person) --a wk and a half ago. I have yet to hear from them. All of these postings with a minimum requirement of at least 6 months to a couple of years of CNA working experience in acute, SNF or long-term care... I'm actually easy to work with, and easily get along with any type of personality, and very skilled. I finished the program with an A grade, only one of the few from the 20+ students. I mastered all 22 skills, and was 'at home' during the clinical. I'm ready for work!!! Anyone has leads? Please let me know...
