Yeah. I think many FNP schools either online or offline schools have a lot of BS work as I just had online FNP school. haha. I have someone locally and she is currently attending APU in the last term. She told me that she only goes to school once a week and only wrote 3~4 papers so far throughout the entire program. According to her, APU also suggests clinical placements. Some negative that I see is that the program is 1.5 years and next term does not start until next Spring... NU starts this fall and only 9 months. My gosh.. life is full of choices... Would you mind sharing me one of the class syllabi? Thank you so much for your time! =]

I wanted to send you PM but somehow the site is not letting me send any PM. I heard from people that quite a number of employers are specifically asking for new hires who didn't attend online school but traditional schools. That alarmed me and thought of going to APU instead. How is the workload in NU? Tons of BS essays? How are tests like? I live in Brea so I don't mind driving do SD. It's just that I am more concerned about the quality of education. I just completed an online FNP program and... it was not hard but I felt wasting on unnecessary BS essays and assignments to fill up "study" time. Simply "busy" work rather than really learning anything from the program. I really appreciate your feedback. =]

My practicum is going to start in July 2019 and I have a few clinical sites in mind but they are all too far. I live in Brea and I was hoping if anyone of you could recommend a practicum site that is not too far from where I am. Any information would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Reviewing the entire ATI community health nursing is not bad since it's very short book. But there are some short cuts. Start from quizlet. You can easily find them by googling. This is also good resource to test yourself. 320 questions included. Review Engine You may only see 10 but click on setting and go for the study mode. You will see 320 questions.

Hi. I am and ADN on the final term of RN to BSN program in WGU and looking in to next step of FNP. I currently have 2 jobs (a full time ER nurse and part time teaching in a private academy). Generally, one RN job should be sufficient to support a family member of 2 but with such a high living cost in California and low paying hospital, I have no choice but to keep these 2 jobs. I am in this low paying hospital because this year is just starting of 2nd year working as a RN and no other hospital hired me as a new grad beside this hospital. On top of that, I am doing full time online BSN program which I have been handling fine so far with time management. I heard and seen that FNP program is much more difficult and very time consuming. So, I am definitely considering a part time FNP program. I have been doing some searches and easily found lists of schools. Yet, which school is more lenient with workload is not easy to find out. I am not looking for an easy school and there shouldn't be any FNP program that would be easy anyways. However, I would like to have a program that is able to keep me with these 2 jobs that I have. I might be trying to catch 3 rabbits at the same time but doing 18 years of teaching and have passions in teaching, I just can't give it up. Even if I have to sacrifice my resting/playing/whatever time, I have to keep these 2 jobs. I heard that Georgetown is rigorously hard. I would love to go to Georgetown even just for the name but I don't think I can handle that much of workload. So, if any of you are currently or were previously in FNP program, I would love to hear each school's workload. I know that answers can be very objective but it's better than nothing. I would like to thank all of you who would participate with my concerns. Thank you very much for your time.
