    Online BSN in NY/CT

Hi Everyone, I'm a new ADN grad looking to get into the hospital environment. I know 90% if not more hospitals don't want associates RNs and I'm looking to get my BSN right away. Sacred Heart seems to offer a good program which is reputable. I already have a Bachelors in Biology and definitely want an online program. Time is of the essence here so I want a good program I can finish asap. I don't mind figuring out the clinical component with the help of an advisor. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Narelia

    RN Programs

Hi Guys, Good morning. I am a recently licensed LPN looking for an RN program in NYC, either transition or plain RN. I live in the Bronx so ideally in the Bronx, Manhattan or even Westchester County (Mt. Vernon, Yonkers). I have already applied and been accepted to Montefiore, what used to be Dorothea Hopfer but because of work had to do the evening program which I have now discovered includes Saturdays. I am unavailable as most LPNs are on every Saturday. This has become a problem for me as I do not wanna leave my job or change schools, however, I am wondering if anyone knows of a reputable evening program which does not include Saturdays. I am aware this may make the program longer but I am trying to accomodate my schedule to allow me to continue working. If anyone has any advice, please let me know. Thank You!

Yes I know. The last group goes in 3 days but Sandra said they'd let us know quickly and seems like you guys got notice pretty fast.

Red Cross is a bit expensive but not much more than a private school. I think its worth it.

Hi cja9001, I guess that's good news for us at the Proficient level. I really wanted Advanced but its over now. Only studied for like two days. 9 people including myself took the exam yesterday and Sandra from Admissions said some spots had been offered by many were still open and there might also be a waitlist.

Yes I was surprised at how fast it was. Seems like Monte can grade it right then and there at the school. Took it yesterday morning and by 7 I had an email telling me my scores were available. I know you can get in with Proficient but I was wondering how many people actually made it with that result.

    Montefiore & Cochran

Hi Guys, Can anyone who has gotten into Monte or Cochran SON provide info on their background? I am an applicant to both schools for the Fall 14 semester and very nervous. I scored a Proficient on my TEAS yesterday and I was wondering how many people who also scored that got in already? I have all my prereqs. Also, who sent letters of recommendation? I did my applications a while ago but I don't remember sending those recommendations. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi cja9001, I also got a Proficient level result. So nervous. Took the exam yesterday and we got our scores right away. Think we can keep each other updated? Good luck to you.
