  1. Guys please, some advice. I’m supposed to begin my acute care NP Program (hybrid and close to me) this week after deferring for one year and I have never felt more unsure of this decision. After being bedside 3 years, I still love it but I’m ready to explore beyond the bedside. The terrible systems we have in this country, the pandemic, the way nurses are treated, the focus on treating the sick versus a culture of wellness, blah blah. All of it makes me want to run from the hospital. Also, I want to venture into some small businesses, I still work bedside full time and my finances are not in order to start this program. Thoughts? Anyone go the acute care or NP route in general and hated their program? I’m also 35 and need to get this going if I’m going to do it. Would it be better to transfer to an online MPH program? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.
  2. They should be getting back to applicants now. The FNP program has the largest applicant pool for them to comb over so o would try not to worry too much. It’s hard though, I was very anxious too. You can also reach out to your advisor. They are very knowledgeable and responsive. Wishing you the best.
  3. Hi guys, I applied for Pace’s acute care NP but am trying to get an idea what’s happening with other folks because I have heard nothing yet. I’d like to stay in the loop. Good luck to all who applied.
  4. Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone has heard from Pace University in NY regarding admissions decisions. I applied back in Oct and was told it would be notified by 03/01 but nothing yet. I know I'm anxious but I can't help it much. Also does having a username in the student portal mean were accepted? Any info helps at this point. Thanks, Narelia
  5. Hi Sam, Congrats! I was rejected. Don't think I ever knew my overall GPA but my BSN was 3.4. Good luck.
  6. Hi everyone, I found this thread because I’m looking for info on this program. I just applied for Early Action this coming Spring 2021. I see some applicants got waistlisted in November but when was your deadline? I’m just wondering how long it will take them to get back to me. Also, undergrad GPA was 3.38 and I did not take any standardized test. Did anyone get in with those numbers? Please don’t be shy. I’m trying to see my chances realistically here. Any info helps. Thank you.
  7. Ldy76 I got the good news today but packets are being mailed out this week. We have until June 6th to deposit and Aug 16th to appear for orientation so I don't think Monte is in a rush. Question, are any future Monte students LPNs? Is there any way to shorten this program? Also, does anyone know of any LPN positions available by this summer? I am originally from NY but have been in Virginia the last 3 years. Can anyone point me in the right direction with the job situation in NY cause I have 2 months to move and its so hard to coordinate all of that being so far! Any help would be great and for those still waiting, you will hear back soon so remain positive. Fellow Monte Class of 2016, I hope to meet you all in August. Super excited!!!!
  8. Yes I know. The last group goes in 3 days but Sandra said they'd let us know quickly and seems like you guys got notice pretty fast.
  9. I hear you, believe me. The wait is the hardest part now. Just know you're not alone in the agony Lol.
  10. Yea that's about what it costs @Ldy76
  11. Anyone heard from Monte today? Any acceptances?
  12. Red Cross is a bit expensive but not much more than a private school. I think its worth it.
  13. Thanks cja9001, me too. Good luck.
  14. Yes Ldy76
  15. Did you have all As in your prereqs? And 2 references?
