I know someone at Sumner and has had 4 days at a hospital clinical setting vs CC or universities that go to a hospital, acute care each week. Sumner is new so they do not have agreements for clinicals in acute care here in portland and you need to travel to middle of Washington to do your two weekends of hospital acute care stuff. Other than that your clinicals are in a SNF. I go to a CC and I do have the option of doing a L&D or Peds rotation if that is something I am into. :) Just an FYI. Good luck!

I agree you will probably see more movement after other orientations. However, if I was one of the people that was still trying to decide I would have still registered and dropped it once I figured out my best fit. Then I would at least have my lab spot holding for me. Sooo, you may even see some drops of people who are still deciding!

One new person did find the group today so that's exciting and gives me some hope. Not sure why it's being weird though. I wrote OHSU and got an immediate response (crazy, right?). I was a little scared because I didn't have more than the two courses! I didn't want to add a class! If you took 121 and 122 and they were both 4 credits each then you have met your writing prereqs and do not need to take more for your BSN.

I just gave up my spot at OHSU PDX if anyone is on the waiting list. :)

Is WR 127 needed for BSN if you took 121 and 122?

I would talk to an advisor. I think you should be fine if you got through your A&Ps and everything? I don't know.... I would definitely talk to someone. Or take a class that would allow for you to do some of your OHSU BSN prereqs?

I am also nervous about only doing 9 credits. I am so used to more and it worries me with financial aid (I plan on talking to financial aid a lot in the summer). If you are only doing it for financial aid I would just do a simple 3 credit online course! There are things much less time consuming than more bio and writing. I did take 112, it was kind of hard for me but if I went back and took it (after a&p and Micro) I would probably do much better. I guess I needed some things really pounded into my brain. BI112 was a prereq for a&p at PCC so I think it was many people's first look at the who bio thing.. it was like the building blocks before they throw in everything at a&p. It had a lab and was 5 credits (maybe 4?) I wouldn't want to take it along with our already busy nursing school. I am taking conflict resolution at PSU online this term. THAT is an easy class, if you are doing it only for the credits, I recommend it! :)

Are you adding a class because of financial aid (to go full time) or for a different reason? I look writing online and found it pretty easy.

would anyone be able to help me out really quick? I left the schedule at home and I am at my parents two hours away. I just need to know the lab section times so I can register.
