Hi! Heartstrings426! So yesterday I went to the office at PCC to ask about my application, the person I spoke to told me that the main office where they are actually reviewing the applications is not at the main campus but at the campus on foothill. So she gave me their phone number but since it's close to my job I went in this morning before work to see if I could find something out. They took my name/number/email and said they would call me or notify me as soon as they get to my application because they have not notified a lot of people. So I asked "so at this point is it only rejection letters?" She said "No, it's everyone". So I'm hoping I will get an answer soon, maybe today. I think they had way more applications than usual this time and that's why it's taking them a long time. Also the way they choose people is different so it probably takes longer. So hang in there! As soon as I know I'll let you know!

Thanks sam! I did apply to the generic adn program AND lvn as well that's why I said it that way 😅 and I actually did call on Thursday and they told me I should be getting an email any day now but I will call Monday again. But thanks!

Has anyone else heard from PCC RN/LVN??? I still haven't gotten any email... Plus I called on Thursday and they told me I should be getting something today but I didn't. I have a feeling they're all rejection letters. 😢has anyone gotten accepted recently??!

Hello everyone! I applied to PCC both RN and LVN programs.. Haven't heard back yet. Although from reading your posts I'm guessing I will be getting a rejection letter anytime soon 😐 kinda expect it since pierce also rejected me. Anyone else applied to the Lvn program? I do still have some hope there..

It is so ignorant of you to make a comment like that, you do not know the circumstances in which we are basing our decision on. There is a reason schools like these exist and it is unnecessary to bring anyone down just because they are doing something different from what you would do. That to me, is not having common sense.

I looked into wgu too, I just don't have a great gpa sincd they are also competitive. I just have to really think about it, specially bc even though I don't have kids yet it will still affect the future of my family and my husband and I will make the best decision possible together. Either way I hope I get to go. I feel like this is it for me you know? I will be keeping update as best I can :)

Hello! So exciting to see you talk in such a positive way about west coast, if u dont mind i would really like to ask if you had any trouble getting hired? How long after getting ur lisence did you get hired? And mostly, how has it been paying back loans? I know these are personal questions but these are my cocerns if i go there, not whether or not it's a good school, I have to study hard and do my best, i just hear so much negativity about how new grads from west coast dont get considered. Can you enlighten me a little bit? I would really appreciate your input. Thank you!

I may be starting in January since I just got rejected to a community college program can I ask you what classes you needed to take? Also, how do you plan to pay for it ?? Any advice would greatly help. Thanks

Can I ask you about how you have been able to pay for it? (Loans or out pocket) also do you know anyone that has graduated and is able to pay their loans back? I sadly just got rejected to a CC program and I am sort of lost right now. I don't know if I want to wait longer to start my career, I really want to just start a nursing program already. Any sort of advice from you or anyone would really help. Thanks in advance.

Thank u for ur input, i actually forgot to mention i am taking micro again now, its so hard and i may be able to get a C this is my 3rd attempt at it. Believe me i know i can be a good nurse, i know that i posses a lot of the qualities that make a good nurse but like u said, these science courses are the death of me. Im still looking into other private schools that may be cheaper than west coast, bc at this point, that may be my only options looking into shepherd university.. I am in LA btw and w's count as a Repeat everywhere

Hello everyone! I have been reading different posts for a while now, and i finally built up the courage to get some insight from people that have been through my situation. I have been taking classes at a CC and this will be my last semester so i can get my associates. I want to eventually get my bsn, BUT unfortunately my gpa is 2.8 and i have repeated chem, anat and micro. Chem i took over and got a C, anat i got a D the first time then retook it and got a B. And my worst is micro, i got a W the first time, second time was a few points short of a C and now I'm taking it again and it looks like i may end up with a C. Science course have been so difficult for me,i do not want to give up bc I know I can be a good nurse. I have had my cna license for 4 years now and i know i want to do this, i just want to get in already and get my career started. I recently went to wcu and it seems like that would be the only way i could ever become a nurse. I live in Los Angeles and I would really appreciate if someone could honestly tell me if in fact, west coast is the only way for me to become a nurse. Because if i dont even have a chance at traditional schools, i dont want to waste another another half a year before i can get started when i can begin by June. If anyone could give me some honest advice i would really appreciate it. Specially about whether or not i should even try to apply if i dont have the grades. Thanks in advance.
