  1. I was wondering what classes you suggest taking prior to taking the TEAS V? I plan on taking my first attempt in August and my second in September (my score is due by October 1). College wise I have taken English, Composition, Lifespan, Psychology, US History, and English Lit. I intend on taking A&P 1&2 this summer, and if I can I plan on squeezing Biology in there, and Chemistry in the Fall (which won't be taken in time for the test). I was wondering if you still see me doing good considering my situation. I am a bookworm and plan on studying for the TEAS V beginning next week. So I'll will have a good 5 months before my first try at the test. I read over what you said is on the test, seems like general high school knowledge to me. Would like your opinion please!
  2. I plan on moving to San Antonio at the end of this year. I was wanting to start an lvn program in the Spring of 2015. I have done some research and am leaning towards Baptist Health System's lvn program. I was wondering how competitive is the program? When did you take your Accuplacer test? What does the Accuplacer focus on? At the college I am currently at you have to take the HESI so the Accuplacer is new to me. Were you able to work and go to school? I understand that varies by person depending on how they juggle the two. Did you enjoy the program? How was the atmosphere? Most importantly did you like it and did you feel as though what you were learning was going to help you pass the NCLEX? All opinions help! Thanks!
  3. I want to be able to get by with this salary. I can do something on the side like serving too. Im just worried about having enough time two then have to juggle two jobs and school.
  4. I think I'm going to go ahead and go with the CNA. My nursing program doesn't require it, but regardless I think I would learn information that would later be useful. The only thing I'm concerned with is income. But I guess that will all depend on where I work.
  5. I am currently going to school to become a RN and then make my way to becoming a practitioner. I still have about 3 years until I will receive my bachelors degree. In the meantime I have been debating on whether to become a CNA. I have also considered an EMT as well as going into medical billing and coding. I am looking for something that will pay me a decent salary. I also feel like these jobs will help me gain knowledge in the field I'm going into. I love the medical field and just being in that type of environment will allow me to also pick up on more things in the medical field. I would like some opinions on these! Which is the best route. I plan on working one of these jobs as I finish school.
