  2. I made it public for now so everyone can find the group. Texas tech rn-bsn 2015
  3. Nvm I created one! It's private which I think is for the best. Send me your name and email address and I'll add y'all
  4. Did anyone start a Facebook page?
  5. Yeah it's just the tuition and fees. It's not much though.
  6. I'm doing the 2 semester plan. It's cheaper and with all the writting in this program I think I'll be fine... I'm not a test take but I can whip up a paper easily
  7. Thank y'all!
  8. Thank y'all! I'm nervous about quitting but it's for the best.
  9. Good morning! I need some advice/guidance. I recently graduated nursing school and I accepted a job offer at a cardiology clinic after 3 unsuccessful interviews. Two days after I started my job I got a call from a local NICU (my dream job) and nailed the interview. They hired me on the spot. Now, I start my new Job on June 30 and I am still currently working at the clinic. How do I professionally tell them I am leaving after only 2 weeks? Thanks in advance.
  10. Oh and I got a job in NICU!
  11. So I thought I have turned down TTU but I didn't. I think that's a sign. I am going to go to Texas Tech... I think. It's always been my school. I've been a red raider fan for years. I started at TTU and I think I should finish at TTU. UTMB is right down the road from me but we are online so who cares! Wreck'em!
  12. I'm conditionally accepted pending a background check. They haven't even asked for my RN yet.
  13. You don't need to have your RN to apply to UTMB.. Just like tech.. Thank you!
  14. I was accepted as well but will be turning down my position for TTU to go to UTMB. I got the good pop up today too! Good luck to everyone!
  15. The 150 is an investigation fee so apparently that means you're not being investigated. I didn't submit a fee and got approval to test within the month.
  16. It definitely varies by person, but my weakness was Pharmacology. That was the only class that I had to fight tooth and nail, day in and day out to stay on top of. Pharm was also the only class that I ever failed (below a 75) an Exam in. I think the classes seemed to get easier after the first year but only because we KNEW more not because the difficulty was any less.
  17. I heard back from the BON and I'm good to go. March 7th is when I was sent to enforcement. March 31st is when I received the letter saying I was cleared. They were very quick. I only called once to check the status of my application. I sent in the declaratory letter and was never required to pay the 150.00 when I was sent to enforcement. God is good.
  18. Hey y'all! I applied too. I graduate in May from an ADN program. I recently got my acceptance letter from UTMB. I am hoping for TTU though. Anyone know if it will be early or late April before we hear anything?
  19. Thank you for responding. I have hope now!
  20. I think you're doing the right thing. I don't understand why they would do anything if the background check is clear. I'm praying that both our cases get worked out quickly.
  21. Congratulations!!!! I'm happy that everything worked out for you!
  22. Have you heard anything back yet? I am in a similar situation but mine was a failure to appear and they didn't request the fee. She said it could possibly take less time because the fee is for investigation. No fee=no investigation. Good luck
  23. Hello LYNN, I am in a similar situation. I had a failure to appear and did not know about it so after I submit my application I pulled a driving history and found it and I immediately sent in documents regarding the failure to appear for a speeding ticket. They sent my file to the enforcement department and didn't even request the fee. Which is weird. So I called and she said they didn't need a fee from me because they aren't investigating because I sent in documents when I found out about the violation. She said that could cut down the amount of time it would take because there was nothing to investigate. Maybe it will be the same in your situation. Good luck and I will keep you updated on my case.
