  1. I have been following the feed for a bit and did want to let you all know that I have applied and still have not received the credit check. I am a BSN prepared nurse going into a FNP program. In the first tier for funding and I have a 4.0 GPA.
  2. It depends on how long ago this was for you, if it has been within the last 5-7 years they might want you to complete a Nursing Jurisprudence Class or some other type of agreement. I highly, very highly, doubt that they will deny for you a shoplifting case that was dismissed. This does not mean that they won't have stipulations for you getting your license once you graduate nursing school. The best thing you can do is this: First, accept that there is nothing you can do about the decision they make and there is nothing you can do to change your past. Second, be honest in all your affairs and you will be guaranteed to be on the right track...even if that path may not be where you thought you would be at that point. Third, after you have done what you can for this situation leave the results up to the power that is greater than you...for some this is a God, for some it is something else...I have a good feeling you will be on your way to nursing school soon if you can take this advice to heart.
  3. Hey guys thought I would check in....first of all CONGRATS MSTX on FINALLY getting your # and Kann I am praying for you to do GREAT! But I know you will, you have waited too long and I am sure you have worked too hard, YOU WILL pass. I got my ATT this week and took the test in H-Town today. I tried the Pearson Vue trick and got the "good message." I start my new nursing job next week as long as I really did pass. I must say that I have grown alot in this experience and have drawn closer to my God. I wish you both the best of luck and was always grateful to have peeps to share my struggles with. Thanks guys!
  4. So sorry Kann! I did feel that it was a good review though. I went and picked up my order on Friday and signed it and turned back in, I am just waiting now for the rest of this process. Will keep ya posted!
  5. Lindas5151, I am sorry to hear that you will be sent to the board, but the good news is that you passed nursing school and now you can use this time to take a breath and relax and then study. You might be surprised, if that is your only incident it may not take as long...but as you can read it could take awhile. The best thing I can do is practice acceptance and surrender trying to control this...Be available to the Board and keep up with your studies...
  6. That is good news, I am glad that you finally got the letter! Can you believe all the hoops you have to jump through? Wow! I am obviously going to miss yet another job opportunity and won't be able to work for atleast another four months. There is nothing that can be done though...well I hope that you get the final copy sooner that expected, and get it going! Thanks for the update MSTX!
  7. I am still confused about what is going to happen...I probably will be confused after it is all over too! But, I am fine with knowing that I most likely will be nursing by this year, I never knew all that I would have to endure, but I have gained some patience and humility in all of this. I also know what it is like to need encouragement, perhaps I will be able to offer support to another when they go through all this crap! Enjoy your memorial day weekend!
  8. I spoke with the investigator about the class and basically you must take the class before being able to practice. You will be issued your ATT and may test, but can not practice until in compliance with you order. Also since your licensure is under an eligibility agreed order you can not work as a GN or with a GN permit...you must have you RN license and you must have the class finished.
  9. MSTX, thanks for all that info! I believe that I am going to take the class in San Antonio on June 2cnd...maybe we will see eachother there!
  10. I think that sounds right too...I will go ahead and just take the class, perhaps this will help in speeding up or just having stuff ready to turn in. MSTX please do let us know when you get your letter!
  11. IVanna, we all feel your pain, this has been a very hard thing for me to go through...all that I can do is pray and not plan the results...leave that up to God, Allah, Fate...whatever you call it, and just trust that that powers will IS what is best for you...I say that but it is something that I have to surrender everyday, because I get resentful and want to take my will back and get mad that I am not where I should be, let us know if you hear anything or if you just need to vent!
  12. Hey Guys! I called today and they said that I am they will be sending out an eligibility agreed order that states that I need to take a jurisprudence and ethics class. I am now just waiting for the order...the part that takes 4-6 weeks. So I am glad that it is progress. BUT...I have a question after I get the order, is this something I sign and return...also the lady said that after they transfer me back to the dept. that processes the ATT I then have to take the NCLEX, wait to actually pass before I can take the class, also she said that I cannot practice as a GN until I have taken the class...so I have to get the order, return it?, get transferred to the original dept, get my att, take the NCLEX, wait for the results, then take the class...is that right? I just feel still very confused...MSTX or KANN...what do you guys gather from this? Kann, I am sitting on the right side of the room, about five rows back at the very end near the middle of the row, shorty dark hair long...maybe I can meet ya...thanks guys, let me know what you think
  13. Hip Hip Hooray! I am very ecstatic for you Kann! I know that the wait has been so hard and I am so glad to hear the good news. I am taking the Hurst Review this next week...I just hope to be able to use the information I learn quickly. Again, congratulations!
  14. I called today and I was told to call back next week I am signed up to take a review course that is costing over 300...I just worry that it will be a waste if for some reason I am not able to take my NCLEX for awhile more. On the other hand if I am approved I would need this class for the soon future...I am still trying to just stay in today, and for right now I guess I should prepare and keep my knowledge somewhat up to date....and yeah keep my hopes alive
  15. I know I completely agree, there is always some way they give you different information and make this all very confusing! So do you have work prospects MSTX? Have you received your number or letter yet?
