    Ok thx for the advice...However, my instructor taught me a different way....(1 side rail up when leaving the resident because 2 side rails up is considered a restraint).

    I don't really see the logic in raising the bed when I'm emptying the urinary drainage bag, and if the bed is at the lowest position...why should I put 1 side rail up? As for brushing teeth, I can see why I should elevate the bed.
