  1. If you can't sleep during the day, you could ask your Dr. for a script for Trazodone. It helps me sleep. Good luck to you, and give your body time to adjust from days to nights
  2. Dear Sweetie 715, I'm in Psych now too and I am loving it. I would suggest that you try to get a County job. The schedules are better, the benefits are great and your schedule would be set. You could plan your life by it and de-stress. It sound like you have too much on your plate and your sleep schedule is just messed up. Could you look for a Government job in Psych? Check it out. Maybe you'll find something easier that works for you.
  3. I've seen it in an 18 yr old psyche patient on my unit. He believes he is on a t.v. show and that his every move is being recorded. He wants everyone else on the Unit to leave because "they aren't on my show today." Very interesting.
  4. I remember my 1st RN year. It was in a Skilled Nursing Unit in a Hospital. Then I did Med Surg for 12 years. Just recently I got a County job with great benefits in an Inpatient Mental Health Facility. Really, it's more fun than work. I have 6 patients, no wound care, IVs, or baths. It took a long time to find my niche, and you will find yours too if you just don't give up. The other posts are correct about suggesting nights. :redbeathe please don't give up! You have worked too hard for your license. :redbeathe Find a mentor and manage your stress by doing fun, or nice things for yourself. You are worth it.
