Passed the NCLEX in 76 questions!
Hey all :) I passed the NCLEX 2 days ago and received my results yesterday! I'd like to share my experience in a few brief sentences for those who may be interested. It took me two attempts to pass the NCLEX. The first time I failed in 76 questions, the second time I passed in 76 questions! The difference was studying! The first time I just did a brief two day review of nursing school and didn't really research much about the test. The second time I studied for five weeks. I did an average of 200 - 300 practice questions per day and watched around an hour of skill videos. That's it! Going from failing in 76 questions to passing in 76 is a big accomplishment and I just want to let everyone know it's possible. MORE INFO: On my failed attempt, I answered question 76 wrong, on the passing attempt I answered question 76 right. Correlated? Maybe? Never give up!

A & P 1
Go to every open lab available! Spend weekends at the coffee shop or library.. It takes many hours of studying and open lab to get a good grade in A&P.. I went out with friends maybe 2x during A&P I and II.. Constantly emerse yourself with classmates and studies and you'll do great.

Dates of Orientation for NHCC and IHCC programs?
It's 5 A.M on March 15th, couldn't sleep. Hopefully today is the day. Have a combined score of 11.36. Here is some good news, Metro State called a friend of mine last week for some extra information, they said they were almost done deciding, they also said he is a competitive applicant. He has an 11.37.. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!

North Hennepin Community College program?
Hey Carley ^^. Long time NHCC student here. I'm applying to 4 colleges, NHCC, Anoka-Ramsey, Inver Hills, and Century. NHCC night program is the first choice. Scored 78.3% on the TEAS and have a 3.5 GPA in core classes. Kinda sucks because I have every single prerequisite done and now they changed up the entrance criteria. Was also sick the day of the TEAS which definitely affected the score! Sitting at an 11.3 overall, hopefully it's enough, what do you think? Score said 86th percentile. So, that's top 14 percent, if there's 300 applicants, would be in top 42 then probably (without counting GPA). Only two people I know at NHCC scored higher than that out of about 20 people who told me their scores, but one of them has a 2.75 and only scored 82% so my overall beats theirs. The other gentleman scored 90% but that's extremely rare and he scores 95-100% on every test, even in A&PII he did!! From what it sounds like, any score above 75% with a GPA of 3.5 or higher is competitive. If the GPA is 3.0, then applicant may need 80-85% to get in.... Would love to hear your thoughts..
