  1. thank you so much for this information. i had no idea this was out there. So Excelsior will accept this as a math corequesitite?
  2. Congrats im going to ask you for advice since you are ahead of me in all the tests
  3. Thats great you passed though i have been doing the practice exams thru college network modules and i have ranged from 95- 99 % I just get really bad test anxiety. So thats what I am worried about.
  4. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH :) For your input. I will for sure look into the study notes 101.
  5. I am going to be taking my transitions test for excelsior first week of sept. i have studied the modules from the college network and the practice tests. i need advice from other people who have taken this test. what did you study? what should i focus on? any other study materials for this test out there?//? any information would be greatly apprectiated. thank you

  7. im sorry its not my intent to offend any CNAS in any way... im sorry if anyone was offended..
  8. welcoem to my world im an lpn and every time i come to work i am refered to as just an aide and made to do cna work.. its ********
  9. you dont understand
  10. i used to feel so confident but lately no... its just i get so degraded at work it lowers my self esteem. Why cant people have any respect for LPNS? WHY AM I GETING USED AS A CNA? it doesnt make sense to me...people see me come to the floor and their like oh the other aide is here and its like no... IM AN LPN!
  11. ..........
  12. if i was treatd more like an lpn than a cna i would be a happy nurse
  13. i dont feel good enough because i dont have my rn... i was in school for my rn.. but the school screwed me over and i got sick and couldnt finish. i feel like im not good enough at work. im thankful for a job and blessed to have a job.. but they only treat me like a cna... i am an LPN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i dont know if i can do this the rest of my life... being treated like a cna...
  14. yes stay away from gateway technical college i had the worst experience there
  15. It depends where you work. what state you are in. Being an LPN PAYS WELL. but i get treated like a cna. sometimes i get treated like a nurse it all depends what floor i work on. Good luck. being an lpn still makes you a nurse and its worth it if you want to get into the nursing field. i wish you the best of luck.
  16. you know there is something called slander and defamation in the workplace and it shouldnt be tolerated. did you consult with human resources or your manager?
  17. good luck on your cpne. i am going to do mine in a couple months. you had to buy a kit for the cpne?
  18. hey i am in excelsior too. i am done with my prereqs. i just have to do the theory tests. and the cpne exam which i am really nervous about. good luck
  19. thank you for the advice
  20. I live in wisconsin. i work at a hospital. i started out here as a cna. then a nurse tech. then got my LPN. i took my boards passed the first time i have been an LPN since 2009. when i first got my lpn they trained me on different units. and then after a year they started utilizing me as a cna. its really frustrating. i am thankful i have a job i have been here 7 years. the only reason i stay here is because the pay is decent. its 23.18 an hour. so i am basically getting paid to do cna work and i feel like im loosing my nursing skills. some coworkers are respectful and acknowledge i am an lpn and sometimes i can pass meds but most of the time its cna work. im currently doing the lpn to rn online school through excelsior but its expensive. ive heard bad things about the clinicals like everyone fails. Do u know anyone who has done this program? any input would be much appreciated
  21. Hello everyone i could use some advice. i am enrolled and am doing the LPN TO RN PROGRAM ONLINE AT EXCELSIOR. Has anyone had experience with this school??? I hear their clinicals are really hard to pass. So i am really nervous about that. I could really use some imput please... thank you
