  1. Ativan is not a narc, why would you be counting it?
  2. EMLA patch these should not be used before a flu shot it will cause more bleeding if a child has one of these on we will put it in the opposite arm , I am for Brib I do it with my kids but they have no problem with needles, I should not have lumped every child together there is exceptions. If someone knows there child has a problem with needles maybe it would be better to go to the family Doctor. I should add I faint everytime I get a needle I HATE THEM!!!
  3. My doctor when I walk in will say what do you need? He was willing to phone in the order the pharmacy was not allowing it. This is being enforced by the Canadian Pharmacys t
  4. It's not my doctor but the pharmacy that will not except phone ins they want a script. My daughter needed her inhaler renewed we didn't need to waste the Doctors time same inhaler for 4 years Blah Blah well the pharmacy would not except a call from the Doctor to renew had to go to office get script drive back give to pharmacy and they said The college of pharmacys states they can not accept call in scripts anymore. I am finding this a work we take a PO and then the pharm calls and wants a original script from Dr. I can see with Narcs but Tyl that we monitor and give Big pain in the Butt.... Theresa
  5. Kids have super strength!!! I always thought it was funny as soon as you say done the crying stops. Yep use the same position you do. The parents that spend 20 minutes "talking" to the children are getting on my nerves.. sit down hold them get it over with!!! We try to use another nurse to hold (if the parent agrees usually they do after the super hulk strength comes out)because we are not afraid to HOLD on. Our flu shot clinics are over Theresa
  6. FLU shot season is like the everready bunny this year keeps on going can't wait to get back to normal mode. Well off to do another flu clinic!!!!!!!!!! T

It takes the body two weeks for the flu shot to work. So there is no way you would get the flu after you receive it. Once the vac. is drawin' up it only is good for 20 minutes in the syringe. anyone who gets the flu was already exposed as fergus51 said T

I would like some takes on a problem I had I was send to a home to care for someone with chicken pox and other things my family has not had chicken pox the condition on the apt. was unclean they didn't want me to wear my shoes or socks my shoes I use are for indoor use only and the building had cockroaches. I phoned after arriving and refused to stay and for them to find someone else. I have not had a call for work scence. They were upset because I have had phone calls saying how much people and NH have enjoyed my work. I was told I could handle charge nurse position but asked to leave for this. Saftey was an issue for me. Was I right or should I have stayed.
