  1. Hi everyone, What's everyone using to keep track of: Multi-State Licenses, BLS/ACLS/PALS renewals Contracts and housing info Per diems, expenses, and reimbursements Tax home compliance and documents Are you using spreadsheets? Apps? Physical folders? I feel like the admin side of travelling isn't discussed often. I'd love to hear what's working, what's not, or any hacks you've developed along the way. Thanks for any insight!
  2. How were the 3 P's at WGU? More interested in Advanced Health Assessment than anything else. Just curious how the online program handled this material. Did you have to record an assessment or was competency assessed another way? Congrats on this accomplishment!
  3. Just received an acceptance to the MSN Pediatric NP Program! Very excited!
  4. Received an email notifying of acceptance into the MSN program for Pediatric Acute Care Track! Email stated letters are being sent out soon.
  5. USF emailed me directly with the interview information and a link to schedule it. I was emailed on Feb 22nd.
  6. I just had my interview today. I think it went very well. I'm applying for Pediatric Health Concentration. Good luck everyone that has yet to interview!
  7. I am just finishing my ASN and I'm starting to develop my 5 year plan and would like some thoughts on my goals. I want to be a CRNA. I've done thorough research into the profession and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get there. I'm 25, currently married, and trying to plan out my future. Going to try to wait having kids until I'm finished with school. GPA 3.3 My plan so far: Summer 2015- Obtain new graduate RN position (Pediatric Neuroscience or Adult Cardiac/ Tele) October 2015- Start my RN- BSN and complete in 12 months. December 2016/ January 2017- Transition into ICU role. 2018- Study/ Obtain CCRN, Prepare for/ Take GRE. Mid 2018- Start shadowing a CRNA to gain a real world insight to the profession. 2019- Apply to programs, while continuing to gain valuable experience in the ICU. I am open to any recommendations that I can change or add to it. I was thinking about trying to gain employment in an ICU as a new grad, but figured it might be better to focus on acing my BSN while working on the floor. My dilemma: I currently have been employed at the Children's Hospital in my area for 3 years now as a PCT. They have offered me a position on my floor when I graduate on the Surgical/ Neuroscience floor with the opportunity to transition into the PICU after 1 year. I have also been offered a position on the floor where I was doing my clinicals, which is an Adult Cardiac/ Tele floor at a large hospital, which I could transfer to any ICU at the hospital after 1 year as well. Which path would benefit me the most in my pursuit towards CRNA school? Programs that I'm very interested in: South Florida, North Florida, Florida Gulf Coast, Barry University. Sorry for the long post. I value everyone on this forum's advice and look forward to hearing your responses. Thank you so much in advance, Alex
  8. I'm considering apply to The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa (NOT USA, or UAB) for the Spring 2016 start date, but the information on this forum seems pretty limited about it. I've heard that the standard BSN program at UA is questionable about preparing new RNs, but what about the distance- based RN-MSN? The cost of attendance for distance learning is very attractive to me and I would like others opinions on this. Thanks in advance!
