If you can't take the time to do a 5 second Google search on the school, don't answer questions about it. West Coast is expensive, yes. It's accredited by both CCNE and WASC. Take your pre-requisites at a community college and transfer them if this is the program you want.

Are you asking about the first or second round? I believe all qualified applicants are invited to the first round. I flew in from CA.

I'm going to start a position in L&D next week so it doesn't feel as bad to not get a call. I can wait a few months to move!

10% could be 30 out of 300 or 60 out of 60 applicants. I'm sure this gets hundreds of applicants and so 10% isn't that crazy a number.

She told me that the numbers of open positions can change throughout the process so maybe that's why it's so broad? I just want to make sure I can afford airfare for a second interview!

Same here. That question took some thinking. The timeline for the rest of the process seems weird. Like, it's already mid-November so I wonder how quickly they'll be contacting people for a second interview.

I have a few regrets about not trying to interview for Mt Hood locations but I feel good about the interviews I did. I interviewed L&D at Emanuel, ER at Good Sam, and Peds.

That's my understanding. I can't tell from previous application threads whether they have done it that way in the past. The email said 1 hour to interview with as many department managers as we can.

Same here. I'm flying up from the LA area because literally 90% of my friends have moved to Portland in the last 5 years so it's also a mini-vacation. The format sounds kinda crazy! I would really like Women's Health but I know that's gonna be one of the most competitive sports so I'm also preparing for a few different units.

WCU is WASC accredited which generally means that credits will transfer to other WASC accredited institutions. BUT - they do not have to accept the credits. That goes for any school though. Many of my classmates there worked full time. Some more successfully than others.

I feel you. I'm losing my mind because several classmates applied the same day or after I did and they have received their ATTs while I'm still waiting. Today is week 12 post initial application, week 4 after graduation.

For those of you that applied for jobs before graduating, were you only applying to new grad positions? All the positions I see require a temp or permanent license number as part of the application so I'm curious if people just put that they are graduating?

As many of my fellow California graduates know, our BRN is obscenely backed up with processing applications. I submitted my application and paid the fee two months ago, graduated two weeks ago, paid the PearsonVue fee one week ago and now the BRN tells me that I have at least 12-16 more weeks before my ATT will be issued and that my interim permit will taken even longer. My school disagrees with that timeline though. My program gives us access to ATI Tutor after graduating til we take the NCLEX and it really stresses how high the pass rate is for those that take the NCLEX within 30 days after completing that review program so I'm a little nervous. I took this week off to relax and celebrate but I don't want to let my knowledge begin to fade from disuse so I am planning on beginning review again next week. So my question is this: how have others dealt with this uncertainty? Did you maintain a regular study schedule? Did you just wait for the ATT and start reviewing again?

I just graduated! Our school submitted our applications 7/2 (I also paid for interim permit) and they are still pending on both my initial application and the IP but they did finally cash my check for the IP. I guess I'll be sitting pretty for a long wait, yikes!
