Northern Kentucky University PMHNP program
Not that I know of at present. Hope you get accepted ? I like the program, I don’t think much different than other programs, I had a acquaintance who went to Union University, his program was much the same, self taught online reading, tests, papers, ect. except he had to go to school every quarter for labs. I don’t have that ability with military so I chose this one. I have books I’ll sell for $20 ea if need them. Reach out if have questions and I’ll help ya out! ?

Northern Kentucky University PMHNP program
I really like their program, honestly learning from MD’s they have as teachers, it’s not easy tho, it’s not a joke college. I spent Mon-Fri 4:30 till 8:30 working on homework and many weekends too. But it’s not as brutal as my bachelors at Austin Peay State U. Yes they will help with preceptors but ask that you search on your own too. I hope to work with soldiers at VA or Army hospital after graduation since I am a soldier myself and have experience caring for their mental trauma’s in past, the old saying “walk a mile in their shoes” I understand ? hope this helps!

Northern Kentucky University PMHNP program
I have started the NKU PMHNP program and have read about finding preceptors, I will need a preceptor Aug 2021 and starting search now. Can anyone point me in best direction to find Psych preceptor? Live in Guthrie KY but willing to travel anywhere for preceptor, very serious about this! Any thoughts, ideas would be much appreciated!!

Why Do Nurses Quit?
Actually I still see NETY frequently! In different hospitals and different places. Yes, it does need to go away, so look for it and stop it - I quit my first job because of NETY. It makes me so mad to see the arrogance of nurses who think it's okay to NETY. If ya ever need an example come find me And I'll direct you to some places...

New To NICU: How was your experience?
Hello, I totally understand! I transitioned from mother baby to PCU cardio and my orientation was not good. I have been a nurse for 4 yrs. the first preceptor I had to hunt down for help, the second preceptor was always on her phone/internet or email! When I asked her to show me "cardiac stuff" she asked what do you want to know?! And acted like I was a bother. I had several preceptors in 6 wks due to lots new hires. Each field of nursing is specialized just like Doctors, you don't ask a nephrologist to deal with L&D or vise versa. It's the same with nurses!
