  1. Say yellow to the Campbell's for me. I hope Breezy's asthma is better controlled by now.
  2. Your options for the Cross Cultural requirement are Fashion & Culture, or Global Health. Your options for your Arts requirement are Intro to Arts or Music.
  3. got my ICP grade last night. My DB grade this evening. I cannot complain about my wonderful TA.
  4. I'm so ready for this class to be over. Just looked at week 3 ICP form and am clueless as to what I'm going to write.
  5. [h=5]4540-Community Statistics Assignment-Is anyone else's assignment looking VERY CLOSE to their Discussion Board Post. I feel like I"m writing the exact same thing-just in a different form.[/h]
  6. Yep, this course is probably going to suck. I used the same book for my ADN community health course. It is an awful book. Perhaps the driest book every written. Worse than the Evidence Based Practice book? I do not think that is even possible!
  7. Ugh! Is it that time already? I still have to finish up this final Business Communications paper!
  8. No head start for me. I can wait til the day class starts. Instill have I finish out this Business Comp class (2-more weeks, then vacation)!
  9. I'll be right there with you guys.
  10. I thought the test was easier, but my grade did not reflect it.
  11. I'm in. Not looking forward to it.
  12. Same here. My TA must be drunk.
  13. I'm quite glad it's only worth 25 points. It's the only way I will still be able to keep an A in this class.
  14. Regardless, the most interesting thing on that page is the fact that they have 43.17 FTEs to take care of a 40 bed nursing floor, whereas in the assignment you have 30 FTEs to take care of a 50 bed nursing floor.
  15. I believe what Table 8.1 represents is 8 hour "fixed staffing" that involves a nurse manager, a nurse educator, and lactation specialist. Along with a "variable staff" that works 12 hour shifts. Because the 8 hour "fixed staff" is not on any other shift, they did not extend out the 8 hour shifts for the total 12 hours.
  16. Once you accept the fact that they are totally setting you up for failure, the assignment becomes much easier.
  17. For those struggling with the FTE assignment, here is an article that may help explain FTE's, productive FTEs, nonproductive FTEs, and how to determine staffing needs MUCH better than our book does. The chapter starts on pg 215. Essentials of Nursing Leadership and Management - Patricia Kelly - Google Books
  18. This class is the reason I drink! (Ok, not the only reason, but it's the reason that I'm using this week.)
  19. I'm halfway through the program, and should be done mid-fall semester. I work 3 days a week, no kids, and am currently taking two classes at a time which totally consume my days off. Personally, I would never take 3 at a time. Since they're 5 week classes, the drop date for a full refund is day 1. After day 3, there is no refund. So by the time you realize you're over your head, all your money is gone.
  20. Mmmlaugh, if this is your first time taking classes at OU, you may want to make sure you don't overload yourself until you get a feel for it. Remember, these are not 5 week classes-these are 15 week classes crammed into 5 weeks.
  21. 5 pages? Crap! Mines barely 1.5!
