CWONGal did you do the online course or went to the regular school? I saw webwoc cost about $2500 per specialty, was wondering how much does the other online courses cost. How does the preceptorship work? Does the preceptor take you to their workplace and you shadow them? Thanks for your input!

Hi, Does anyone have an idea how much would it cost to get Wound and ostomy care certification as WOCN certified? If one would go thru the perceptorship pathway, approx how much does a perceptor's fee cost? I live in The Bay area CA and am interested in taking the online courses. Which school is more economical? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Congratulations! Good for u! I applied near the Stockton area. I dont have any updates yet it has been 3 wks and I am very anxious. They did the reference check already more than a week ago and I have not heard anything. Did u have to make a follow up or they just called you?

Dont have more interviews lined up; still sending out applications. altho I will be starting a travel position in November. Would really like to find out the status of my latest interview before starting the travel job though.

I had an interview for a correctional nurse position last end of July and never heard a word after despite follow ups The waiting was torture because I had no idea if I was rejected or not. It would have been nice you know if they at least sent a short rejection letter - better than not knowing the status at all. Anyway I had another interview for a different facility - still a Correctional nurse position. That was more than two weeks ago and I heard my references have been called last week. Still have not heard anything till now although they said to wait at least one month. I know how you feel I desperately need this job too; haven't had much luck with the job hunting for over a year. Hello bluesky, Just wondering if you finally got a response from the facility. I too am waiting for a response; it has been more than 2 weeks and I know they did a reference background check already. How long until you finally get a response?
