  1. I've start my 3rd week of classes (Pharmocology and Fundamentals) tomorrow and I've already had 4 test.
  2. About 30 mins... because where I live most places are 30 mins away.
  3. Hey, I tried looking and I can't find the group.
  4. I actually think I saw some job postings at North Fulton Hospital in Alpharetta. You might want to look into that. Good luck.
  5. That sounds like it'd be good... if I can get in a hospital with no experience. I think it'd be best for learning. I'll definitely try.
  6. I would love to work in hospital since I'm going to be in nursing school but I'm worried that I wouldn't be able to make it work with my schedule.
  7. Not yet but I'm sure that's going to be discussed at the orientation.
  8. Sounds like that would be my best opportunity. I'm taking the cna class now and will be taking the test at the beginning of Jan then I start the lpn program on jan 13. I know it's difficult to work but we really need another income and I really want to get the experience (I've never had a job either so I have no experience in anything.)
  9. Is working as a CNA in home health (or can it be) a flexible option if you're in school?
  10. On my acceptance letter it said to email to confirm my acceptance and I have to attend orientation in Jan. For you, I would say call and figure out what you need to do and when.
  11. Orientation is in jan. Have to accept the seat by Friday, nov 1.
  12. Ok. So I just got on here and noticed the new post. SO, I grab my flip flops and go check the mail... mind you, my drive way is long and uphill. Literally, the most nerve wrecking walk of my life. My lungs are burning from the cold and the nerves, not to mention my stomach doing flips. So, I get back inside and open my letter. I GOT IN!!!! Yay. I'm still shaking as I type this and I feel like I might cry. But I'm happy.
  13. What everyone else said. Finish LPN then go for BSN. Good luck.
  14. I'd really like to know if you got the job. I'm hoping so.
  15. Thank you. I find it in about 2 weeks. The wait is terrible...
  16. I don't know how many applied but I know at the application session they said they were only interviewing 50 people and accepting the top 30.
  17. Haha. I know. The wait is killing me too. At the application sessions, they said Nov 1. That's 3 weeks. Ugh
  18. I think mine went well too. I was also very nervous but they said they liked me and that they thought I would do well so, I'm going to take that as a really good sign.
  19. NadiaJ, how did it go? Do you feel good about it?
  20. I've been thinking about that possibility. I haven't started my lpn program yet so I have time to figure out it. But in my research, doing the traditional bsn would take less time than doing lpn to rn then rn to bsn.
  21. I am so nervous for my interview. How does everyone else feel?
  22. I'm in GA. We haven't done clinicals yet but it's 3 days, 8 hour shifts, at the end of November. I'm a little nervous but also excited.
  23. If I were to wear black pants, black flats, a white button shirt, and grey/white/pink argyle sweater vest to my school interview, do you think it'd be good?
  24. I can't really help. I've never been to a job fair and I have no idea what's involved but I keep seeing flyers around my school. So, I'm wondering what's involved. What should I expect?
