Hi guys, I am a fairly new FNP with my MSN, with a little over a year of experience so far. My end goal is to open a Family Practice one day, however, that would be further down the line of course when I have years more of experience under my belt. However, I was thinking about adding on a part-time nursing faculty teaching job and wanted to see what the best course of action would be to obtain a job like this. I don't have any teaching experience and don't really want to teach clinicals, but rather would teach didactic courses online while working full time as an FNP. So with my MSN-FNP already, do I go for a DNP, post-masters certification in nursing education, or a PhD?? Any advice/guidance would be appreciated!

The PVT also worked for me! I tested yesterday 1/22 and got the "good pop up" right after the test & today my license # was posted on the board of nursing website!! :) It really works!!

mangohead are you from out of state? I was wondering if they do phone interviews for everyone or just if you do not live in GA.

I finally received the email about forwarding to my resume to the hiring managers today. Is there typically a phone screen with HR after this or do the unit managers make phone calls for interviews? Also, about how long did it take to receive a call after getting this email for most?

Jbu723 I haven't heard back yet. My interview was two weeks ago for the acute care residency but they said it'd be a couple weeks before we hear back. So hopefully ill hear something soon! How long ago did you interview? Congrats btw! Did they say when it starts?

Oh they should have atleast gotten back to you:/. I'm sorry, maybe they are just running behind or something. Something will work out soon! What type of things do they ask in the HR interview if you don't mind me asking? For piedmonts program I put med surg as my first choice & am interviewing for a position in that area. Maybe they haven't started the interviews for ICU yet. Does it start I'm February do you know?

I am sure you will hear back soon! Which area did you put as your top choice area? Also I saw on other post that you interviewed w northside? How did that go? I have an HR interview with them this week and was wondering how that went for you?

Hey I know this forum is from the beginning of this year but just wanted to see if anyone else got a call for the Piedmont residency that is up now? I got a call and have an interview in a few weeks and just wanted to know a little more about the interview? What type of things do they ask? Does anyone know when exactly the program starts?

Caddywompus did you apply for the residency program tht they offer or just a staff nurse position? I applied for the residency program & also had a phone interview about 3 weeks ago as well. The recruiter told me I should hear something in the next 2 weeks or so and never did either. I'm thinking maybe they are just taking a while due to the holidays and stuff.. Idk! Hopefully we hear back soon!

Britt2008 I received an email today from the Emory recruiter saying they will be doing phone screenings next week & they are going through apps and questionnaires now!

SSJRN how did your interview @ Gwinnett go? I also interviewed with them. What department did you interview with?

I also received the same email from the recruiter. I guess it is just going to be a waiting process until after the 15th and then they will probably start calling for phone interviews during the screening process I assume.
