  1. Make copies of the anatomy that you are working with and fill in five at a time. Then use white out tape to keep doing this until you get it. Then keep adding more once you get those 5. Before long you will remember what goes where. Do them out of order so you can train your brain to recognize the name of the body part. I also would come in a look at lab mannequin and learn that way too.
  2. I am starting on October 1st too.
  3. I had very tough clinical instructors. One in particular was often discussed as being a jerk and not helpful at all. He/she made you critically think out any question you were asking and not just automatically give you an answer to save time. Sometimes this was somewhat painful to watch develop however I am thankful everyday when I am at work because I can rely on my critical thinking skills that this instructor helped develop. So if i had to do it again I would want this instructor even if i had to go through what I did during clinicals. I truly learned a lot that helps me everyday. It is just looking at it from a different perspective.
  4. I feel that it greatly depends on how the individual is prepared content wise and how well they can critically think. This greatly affects how you are able to answer questions. If a person is weak on content i don't feel that any of the reviews will be very helpful. However understanding why you either get the practice questions right OR wrong is also very crucial. We were exposed to the Kaplan product throughout our program and for me it was beneficial. Everyone is different so what worked for one person may not work for another no matter how similar their nursing school experience is.
  5. Read all the rationales and make notes on content you are having trouble with then go back and review just those items. Then just keep repeat t this process . The rationales are the key to understanding why you are picking the incorrect answers. Keep working on it you can do it.
  6. I had a classmate that interviewed last week and she just heard something today.
  7. It is sample test 4 that is all SATA questions not the trainer 4. Good luck with your test
  8. Graduated April 14 2005 NCLEX June 4 Accepted med surg/tele position. June 22 Sent in almost 60 applications and had 3 offers. Start orientation July 27th Live in Florida
  9. Everyone in my class didn't get over a 35 so don't sweat it. We were told to just treat each answer as a true or false to help figure out these type of questions. Of the five of us that have taken the NCLEX we have all passed.
  10. You need to think of the bigger picture. This is what you put yourself through the last 3-4 years of studying and not having a life for. Write a plan for your studying. Check of each item and keep telling yourself that you can do it. I changed my password on my computer to a motivational phrase so every time I was on my computer it made me think about the end goal.
