GCU 2014 Summer
I'll butt in too and tell you guys that I BARELY had the 3.0 science GPA & got accepted for Spring '14 start so definitely don't be discouraged from trying. Also the admissions advisors are very helpful and honest. If they think you don't have a chance they'll tell you what to do to increase your chances of acceptance. Follow their advice :) best of luck to you all

Awesome thanks! & yea I expected a lot of homework/papers outside of just studying haha. I'm generally pretty good at it but not a huge fan lol. Thankfully I'm used to military time thanks to charting at the hospital now :)

Calling all Grand Canyon University Spring 2014 Hopefuls!!!
Hey Toy, Any insight as to the workload for Level 1? I can't recall if you or someone else was the one who had told me that exams are only given for pharm & assessment courses and not the other two? Is this correct? Also how about writing papers? I know this is an accelerated BSN and my friends who have taken GCU RN-BSN bridge have had to write a good number of papers but curious as to how much of that is for block one. I ask for both curiosity but also as an idea of what kind of time I'll need outside of class as I'm also going to be fitting full time work in for the first semester at least. Thanks for all your help so far! I know I'm not alone in being grateful to have someone a step ahead of us giving thoughts and info to help us out :)

No our site coordinator at SHC campus sent the email out. If you don't get it by end of the day tomorrow, I'd give a call directly to Boswell campus. Our location said they so schedules 8 weeks in advance so that would've been tomorrow so we actually received them two days early (on Thurs)- Calling all Grand Canyon University Spring 2014 Hopefuls!!!

- Scottsdale Healthcare And J. C. Lincoln Merging
So far there is just an "affiliation" of the two networks. They have combined into one board but financial statements and such are separated. So far pay/benefits haven't been standardized among the two. They are however this year changing our calendar to match JCL (which has basically just affected when our online training modules need to be completed and such). I think it'll have some kinks needing worked out and there's always pros and cons to each situation, however I'm optimistic about it. The main goal in merging was to "block out Banner" from the NE area of Phoenix as well as to better provide preventative services and such and survive the changing of healthcare policy with ACA to my understanding :)- Calling all Grand Canyon University Spring 2014 Hopefuls!!!

FYI Scottsdale Healthcare Cohort: I spoke with GCU at Shea campus today regarding the level 1 schedule. The director informed me that the current level 1 cohort has class usually 4-5 days per week starting at 8am typically and ending anywhere between 1-5pm. I asked if that schedule was similar to what they were planning for the Spring Level 1 & she said that yes so far it is expected to be about the same. I know this isn't very specific & I apologize. I'll definitely touch base with them again in a week or so to see if they can provide any further info, but figured I would pass along the little bit that I did get. Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow at the meeting :) my friend & I are planning lunch somewhere near by afterwards so maybe a few of you guys would wanna come along too & get to know each other a lil bit better too!- Calling all Grand Canyon University Spring 2014 Hopefuls!!!
Hey guys sorry my inbox was full so I apparently missed a few messages. It's emptied out now :)- Calling all Grand Canyon University Spring 2014 Hopefuls!!!
GCU just called me to ask whether I'd completed my FAFSA. They are sending me an email with the links for the financial aid steps that need to be completed and then will be scheduling financial meetings the first half of November to meet on a one on one basis and go over how you're arranging to pay for school. Just an FYI. It was also from an UNKNOWN CALLER so I almost didn't answer.- Calling all Grand Canyon University Spring 2014 Hopefuls!!!

We should receive our schedules approx 8 weeks before classes start (so early-mid November).- Calling all Grand Canyon University Spring 2014 Hopefuls!!!
