  1. Hey what sem are you? I am currently in second sem and we lost half of our class by thr end of first sem as well.
  2. Thank you! See ya at orientation!
  3. Have you heard anything about the fire safety training tomorrow? I'm assuming we have to go in our uniforms but not sure what exactly we'll be doing or what to bring.
  4. It was a bust. Like almost every watch online that said it was a sweeping second hand, it wasn't. I ended up finding one by a brand called Citizen in dtla.
  5. Thank you for posting this. I have fire safety training this week, three day orientation the next and start class August 28th and I feel sick to my stomach with nerves. I've been trying to skim through some of the books I've got and I just get overwhelmed. I've done good so far on the dosage calculations pre test from my book but I know it will get harder. ?
  6. Some schools, like mine and the OP, require watches that do not tick.
  7. I'm using a Swiss backpack. It's slightly on the larger side. I'm not sure if I'll need a roller backpack I don't have orientation until the 19th. As for the watch my school requires one with a sweeping second hand. It was SO SO SO hard to find. Almost all of the watches on Amazon say they are but they tick. It's almost impossible to find one for cheap. My school is pretty strict on their dress code so if they say they want a specific watch, I would get it. I finally found one in downtown Los Angeles by a brand called Citizen. Best of luck finding the watch. I had anxiety over trying to find one. :/
  8. Check into the gpa requirement for the science courses in whichever program you're going into. My school only accepted A or B in science courses/lab. Every program is different. Best of luck.
  9. I swear by my MacBook Pro. That thing has been through every pre req with me and is now going into the RN program with me. I've had zero problems with it. Microsoft office is a must, I used to love recording my lectures in a&p with the special "notes" feature it has.
  10. Hahaha I feel the exact same way but almost all of those people don't end up making it into the program. (At least at my school)
  11. Yeah I had the same reaction. But I've checked in with allied health on everything I have to make sure I don't have anything I don't need other than an extra stethoscope lol.
  12. The ati online exams are harder than the exams in the book, IMO. I'd look into getting those and that should give a feel for the real thing. Main thing is to study everyday even if its just for a little bit. When you get your results from the online practice exam it will give you a break down on each sections so you can know what you need to focus your studies on.
