I feel like I pretty much could have posted this myself. I'm going to hang in there though because I need the money and experience.

My roommate (RN BSN) and another woman in my class could not get into the air force because it was too competitive.

I was able to do both courses. Kaplan was included with our program, so I didn't have to pay for it. I bought Hurst. I was very confident on the NCLEX, when I walked out. I was pretty sure I passed (And I did!, though there was of course post-test anxiety). I honestly think that Kaplan was a better resource and would recommend just buying that one. I am not sure how much Kaplan costs, but I do not think that buying both would be a good academic investment. I would recommend buying Kaplan, and then using a resource such as Saunders for content. You should also consider how well you know content. If you are not confident with you knowledge base, maybe it would be a good idea to purchase Hurst. However, Kaplan also has content, and with a additional study book I think most people would be fine. It is probably a waste of money to buy both Kaplan and Hurst.

It seems legit, I was a little wary of giving them my SSN as well, but did too.

I could not find a place to upload a cover letter either, so I just didn't had one. I haven't really had success with Banner.

The proper way to list your title is First Last, BSN, RN

I'm pretty confident in my resume, but I feel like my cover letter is lacking. I graduated 2 months ago, and passed my NCLEX in June. I'm ready to start working again and am tired of being unemployed! This is my general cover letter. I have been changing it a bit for each position I apply to. I was a nurse extern while in nursing school, as well a a home care giver for a few months. I think the qbank is better, but if you don't have time for it/don't want to buy it, I wouldn't worry too much. I also suggest PDA by Lacharity.

I did both Hurst and Kaplan. I all of the qbank and qtrainers for Kaplan, but only one of the hurst qreviews. I was mainly doing Hurst for content review. I got 84/125. I passed the nclex-rn with the minimum number of questions.

Yes, I think you should enroll in in the Kaplan qbank is you can afford it.

I used Saunders a little bit for studying. I would use it to go over content as I was reviewing kaplan questions. I honestly found the book too overwhelming and detailed, but it was great for when I wanted to study something specific I didn't understand well. I also read through the basic chapters at the beginning (fluids/electrolytes, positioning, nutrition, etc.).

I would recommend Hurst over Saunders.
