  1. Hi folks! I'm a recent nursing school grad and I am taking my Nclex Rn in early July. I am starting to freak out. I am using ATI and Saunders as review. I read the content and take a content based test My scores are ranging from 60%-70's. I'm nervous and all sorts of things are running thru my mind. I graduated in May and took a few weeks off from studying because I just couldn't do anymore. How do you guys like Saunders? We used ATI in school so I am used to the questions but Saunders covers content I have never seen. I don't know what to do. Did I wait too long to begin studying? I literally feel like all my nursing knowledge is oozing from my ears. Help!
  2. I thought that may be what it was, but the application was online and wouldn't let you go any further if the required fields weren't filled in. I'm going to call them tomorrow and of course tomorrow can't come soon enough. sheesh!!
  3. Hi all! I am freaking out! I just graduated nursing school and am preparing to take the NCLEX. I did my background check Monday 5/20 and submitted my application to the GA BON Wednesday 5/22. I was told that I should check the site while waiting for my ATT. Of course I am anxious because some of my classmates have gotten theirs already, so I checked the site today and it said Pending Deficiency!! What does that mean!!?!?!? Has anyone else had this situation arise in GA??!? Or anywhere else? Any input that can be provided would be great! Thanks!
  4. This may be a silly question, but how do you guys know if your credit has been checked or not? Call the program hotline? Check your report online?

I'm in an ADN-RN program. The test I failed wasn't my first test of the semester. It was the first test that I failed (and it happened to be the last test before the final exam). AND I FAILED IT MISERABLY! That test was the week before my final exam and I was very nervous because it dropped my average and made it IMPERATIVE that I pass my final exam to stay in the program. I was understandably scared out of my mind and I sequestered myself in a library for the whole week leading up to the final and I passed!!!

I passed my test!!! I studied my butt off and didn't change ANY of the answers! I think that was my BIGGEST issue! I would change answers only to find out that they were right in the first place! SO, won the battle...Monday I will find out if I won the WAR! SECOND SEMESTER BOUND!

Thanks guys! It's fortunately not that dire. I only really need an 80. We had a paper and some other things to help ou But I don't habe to tell u how hard it is to get an 80sometimes in nurseing school. I'm gonna study as hard as I can and use the tips u guys have suggested. Thanks for all the encouragemen. I was so down because -'d really been holding steady until that last test.

Thank u, 1969. I wasn't doing too terribly this whole semester but something trhew me off on this last test. The positives are that we get a study guide. I already have an advanced copy from a previous student. I'm gonna try some different things in preparation. Including what u suggested. I also read on this site that turning each note into a question. That may work. I will certaibly try it. That guy, I realize 6 days isn't a very long time. However, I stated that the test that I didn't do well on was just last wednesday. I do have some sort of a knowledge base that has kept me afloat during the semester. I merely wondered if I could get some tips to enhance my studying for my last test since it is very important that I get a B. I understand the need for realism, but I thought this site was to assist and encourage and give real advice. Sarcasm isn't beneficial to me; nor did I make the testing schedule for the class. Just failed the test wednesday. I didn't think Friday was too late to ask for advice for to assist in the studying that I am already doing. People come to this site for real advice, if u don't have any to share please be kind and leave the posting of replies to someone who does.
  10. I am a first semester nursing student and I just failed my first test on Wednesday. FAILED as in a 65. I was devestated. I studied my butt off. Anyways, I now have a 71 average and need a 75 to pass. I have a final in 6 days that counts for 19 percent of my grade and I need an 80 to pass the course. I have been studying but i am so nervous i don't know if it is doing any good. Do I have a shot? Should I quit? What tips do you have that can make my studying more effective over the next 6 days? HELP!
