  1. I graduated December 17th. Took the NCLEX Friday Feb. 24th finished in 75 in about an hour. Feel like I failed, I had at least 30 SATA!! I used Uworld to study. Same set up/format. I went through the whole qbank and then went back and did the ones I got wrong. Took Plenty of notes. U world predictor gave me a high chance of passing. I was scoring 50s - 60s. I also took the ATI predictor a week before school let out, 97% predictability. Now I am eargly waiting for results, refresh, refresh breeze all day. Since I took it on Friday hoping for results today (Monday).
  2. WOW only 4 employees processing the whole state! Just wow... Thank you for sharing I guess I will have more sympathy for them. Ive been waiting two months. I have a contingent job offer and need my Lic by Mid March may take a drive down there. Only 4 hours away. Emailing my senator now.
  3. You need a firm understanding of the sciences to be successful. If you cant get into a program based on low GPA then rightfully so, you wouldn't succeed. You hit the ground running in nursing school patho, pharm, med/surg no time to learn what you didn't in the pre reqs. So try really hard in your bio classes it will benefit you at future patients in the long run. I had a 4.0 in the sciences and overall GPA of 3.73. I barely got in to a BSN program. I competition is stiff in CA. I do know of some people who got in to an ADN program with B's and 1 (only 1) C.
  4. I have a job offer and need to have my Lic. By March graduated in December. I am a broke college graduate. Thanks for your advice I now plan on purchasing the Kaplan Q bank and U world to save myself a few bucks.
  5. @jgibson Thank You very much for your input. & Congradulations to you on getting in! I'm glad too that they changed to a points system, it does consider the student as a whole. & while I don't have any experience, I made sure to excel in GPA and the TEAS (4.0 gpa in the 3 Bios & an 81% TEAS). I hope this is enough to get me. Thanks Again!
  6. Just applied to COS for Spring 2014. Is their anyone else out there who also has? This is the second semester where they are using their new admission procedures, which is based off a points system? Had some friends last semester who applied, 75 points seemed to get you in, and around 65 points got another friend wait-listed. Since this is only the second semester in which they are using this system, I wonder how the points for admission will vary. Personally I had 70 points, & I'm just trying to get a feel for the competition, so if anyone else wants to share, while we eagerly await admission notifications, it could be fun. Thanks (I had posted a previous topic but with wrong semester)
  7. I got an email yesterday, but I called on Monday & they told me over the phone
  8. Just found out that I didn't get in, kinda sad, but oh well. Just wondering for the people that did get in, if you wouldn't mind sharing the criteria you met for successfully getting into the program. Personally I had a 3.75 GPA and a 81 on the Teas. Any info. would be useful thanks.
  9. I waiting to see If I got in as well. Should be finding out shortly.
