Its like I could have written this post! I think a healthy fear is good...it means we care enough to want to succeed and put ourselves in the best possible position to do so, or at least that's what I keep telling myself. But going on the advice of nurses I work with I'm relaxing and enjoying the last few weeks of down time before orientation August 15 and first day of classes on the 21st so I'm ready to jump in and give it everything I have. Welcome shahin92! I have finished my pre req's so I don't have advice on the micro, but I bet your advisor would! My guess is that classes get harder and more time consuming the further in we get in...can you take it during summer semester when we are out? We have a group on FB as well for UNG ASN program. I also am hoping to bridge almost immediately for my BSN as it would only be a few semesters. I've worked in ICU and currently work in the ER, I think I will want to continue in either department. But I am trying to keep an open mind :)

I ordered my uniform but haven't gotten them yet, and I'm actually going to order my stethoscope online so I can get mine engraved. I've been harrassing the bookstore for when the books are in, I spoke to someone last week who says he keeps getting calls that they have them, but he says they don't yet. This will be my first semester at UNG, I am a transfer student ~ from KSU, I have all my core for my BSN. I got my letter on February 14th, my youngest daughter had broken her leg very badly a few weeks earlier and I had been so preoccupied with taking care of her I hadn't even expected letters until much later. I had only applied to UNG and KSU, I was having an exceptionally emotional day with her. When I got the mail that day and saw the envelope I didn't really think to much about it, when I opened it and read the first 2 sentences I started just started crying. My mother in law had come from MA to help with my daughter and came running not knowing what was going on, it was the best feeling! My name is Damari :)

I know it is still early, but thought it would be nice to start a new thread for the Fall 2013 ASN students on here. Which campus you will be attending and where you are commuting from? I will be at the Gainesville campus and live in Jasper.

Having a supportive family is great, but you still want to be a mom. Thats a lot to take on, studying, sleepless nights, and having time to bond with your new little one.

You get your flu shot when next years vaccine is out, probably early fall.

This is my daily panic, that something isn't there or right and that they drop me. I would hope they would contact us, but who knows? Ms S is out this week.

Maybe the July 5th date is so it allows time for returns? I got an email from the school, it said some were finding pants were running small and lab jackets big.

I think they noted a deadline of July 5th for ordering uniforms online thru Meridys, not too far off at this point.

Thanks ladies! I think based on your recommendations I will skip this and save the gas money (I live in Jasper). On a side note has anyone gotten their uniforms yet? I was just about to order, I'm debating sizing I don't like not being able to try on don't want to order to snug or too large.

Well hearing your experience I'm debating if its really necessary? I am a transfer student and only am taking Nursing classes since I've completed all my core, my biggest questions are the layout of the campus, when should I get my student id and where I park....

I happened to have emailed my nursing advisor today asking if our Nursing orientation would cover some of the info from the other and her reply was " If you are new to ung , TSOAR is valuable with orientation to university , aug 15 is for nursing only". I think I will probably sign up for the July 24th orientation date. I thought it was great she replied on a Sunday, she must be buried in emails!!!
