  1. I totally understand. I graduated this past Thursday and I've been in a robe ever since. It went from 60 to zero overnight and I'm still adjusting to this. Lol I guess it's a good problem to have though!
  2. I've heard that the better you are doing, the more SATA questions you get. I have no idea if it's true, but, maybe you just kicked its butt so hard it didn't know what to do! I'm sure you did great! Please let us know.
  3. In my experience, 99% of people who got 85 questions have passed. Relax...
  4. I'm actually asking about the legalities of hanging fluid without an order.
  5. I guess my confusion was just hanging a bag of NS without an order for it. Her saying that some nurses won't do it made me question it. Who pays for the bag? We never scanned it. It just seemed a little confusing... I'll ask her for more clarification next week.
  6. I did and she said that a lot of students trend to waste fluids when priming so I should do it this way. But she also said that my nurse may not feel comfortable with me doing this and if she had an issue with it to let my instructor know and she would "try to persuade her."
  7. I was wondering if it is normal for a nurse to run a primary of NS at 10ml/hr when you are hanging a small bag of antibiotics (50ml), when there is no order for the NS to begin with. My pt had no fluids running or any order for fluids but my instructor said to hang the NS and back prime to avoid wasting a significant amount of the atb priming and then just set the rate for the NS at 10ml/hr. She said some nurses don't feel comfortable doing this...is it because it's illegal?
  8. I bombed my first test too. My school uses PrepU online and it helps get used to NCLEX style questioning. Good luck!
  9. We were not allowed to use one. Ten question test every Friday and we had to get an 80%.
  10. The formula to find the answer is order x label: 28ml/1 x 25000units/500ml=1400units/hr
  11. Well I certainly wouldn't call 911 if the nurse was ALREADY in the hospital.
