  1. Sure. Just be prepared to discuss how you see yourself as a midwife practicing, how you will make time, understanding the intensity of the program, your experience with anything related to midwifery, and I think the most challenging question was an ethical question. I expected most of them. It was intense. But they were very friendly and guiding, as they have been the entire time. I applied literally at the deadline, so idk if I will get in this fall, but I highly reccomend them.
  2. Awesome interview. Pins and needles now.
  3. Interview Thursday night! Anyone else out there?
  4. I don't see how a MS vs MSN would make a difference. It's the CNM certification that should matter. Just like it doesn't really matter ADN vs BSN it's the RN certification that matters.
  5. Any Philadelphia applicants out there?
  6. I have talked to two admission advisors myself. The gre is not looked at anymore. It is also not the cumulative gpa they look at from your most recent degree, it is the total overall.
  7. There's frontier, univ cicinatti, Georgetown, Philadelphia, suny....just go to a search engine. Plenty to choose from.
  8. I'm trying Philadelphia university now. Fingers crossed and prayers appreciated!
  9. It will all depend on what your bachelors transfers in to meet all of their requirements.
  10. My cumulative is 3.68, my total institution is 3.678, but my total overall is 2.65. Which do they use? The 2.65 is beause it was my rn degree transfer courses factored into my bsn courses gpa.
  11. This is the deal, had it verified x3 today. At the bottom of your most recent degree earned, it will say Total institution, and total overall. They use total overall. This is very upsetting for anyone who did an rn-bsn ridge bc courses from your associated will be factored into the total overall, but not the cumulative. Which is why I thought I was ok. So look at your transcript and see what your total overall is. Good luck everyone.
  12. Whatever your most recent degree is, the overall(not cumulative) needs to say 3.0 and above.
  13. I heard back. Bad news. I just completed a rn-bsn bridge. My cumulative gpa is 3.68, my overall was 2.65 because of associate level courses factored in. She said "cumulative and overall are interchangeable terms between institutions". I will not be considered for admission. Heart broken.
  14. Take another look at their website. I'm not sure when they changed the criteria, but it no longer says you can take the gre with a gpa below 3.0. It only says most recent degree earned cumulative gpa must be above a 3.0. Good luck.
  15. Thank you for the advice. Your absolutely right, I will!
  16. No kidding, lots of tears today. I sent two emails to two different people. And called and left someone a voicemail. I'm just devistated.
  17. well i just got an email saying i dont meet the 3.0 gpa requirement. which is a total blatant lie. i just graduated with my rn-bsn with a 3.68. my rn regree was a 2.8. but their website blatantly stated.."most recent degree earned, cumulative gpa".. i am crushed to say the least. i will be contacting other school officials before i give up, but it doesnt look hopeful.
  18. well im extremely upset and dissapointed in frontier. their website clearly says "3.0 gpa from the most recent degree earned". i just graduated with my rn-bsn in april with a 3.68.....admissions emailed basically saying good luck but you dont meet the gpa requirements. my rn degree from 2011 was between 2.7-2.9( but had nothing to do with the nursing related courses, it was early college mistakes).... either way, their website lied if it is combining my gpas from the 2 schools. im highly let down and devistated by this. i would have never sent the 100$ anf got my hopes up if their website didnt blatently say "MOST RECENT DEGREE EARNED". good luck everyone. this was a 10 year dream just crushed of mine.
