  1. Why do you want to be an RN? I'm trying to get out of this unappreciated, overworked profession. Really think about this decision and see if it's really worth it. Good luck, hope you find a job that makes you happy.
  2. I don't work at Winnie but Orlando health is having major budget cuts and they aren't really hiring anyone. I'm sure you are a great nurse but Orlando health isn't doing too well financially. That could be one of the reasons or maybe they hired someone with more experience. I wish you the best of luck in your career and don't give up.
  3. You should try to shadow someone that's already working in those professions. See which one interests you the most.
  4. Your welcome and congrats! Good luck with the new job. I also left Miami, it's the best decision I ever made.
  5. It was much easier to find a job in Orlando comparing to south Florida. I'm sure you will find a job quickly, as you have experience. In Orlando they have Orlando health and Florida hospital. Both are great companies but Florida hospital pays a little more. I don't know too much about Tampa, sorry. I just know the cost of living of both Orlando and Tampa is about the same but Tampa might be a little cheaper.
  6. It might be different for different programs but most require that 2 year experience as RN
  7. You need a total of 2000 hours of working as a RN before you can start the NP program. Good luck.
  8. Miami doesn't hire new grads. I relocated to Orlando and been working there for 7 months now. Good luck and be willing to relocate
  9. I currently work as a new grad with a BSN at Orlando health for 22.50 an hour, not including weekend diff.
  10. Hey, Don't waste your time with lee. They always give people hope and it's just a waste. Me and other people experienced the same thing. We made it to the third interview and neither of us got the job. Lees internship is a joke. They weren't even professional enough to let me know that I didn't get the job. Trust me, there is something way better out there waiting for you. Good luck.
