Supply List
As much portable stuff as you can find! Planners - you need at least one good one. Definitely recommend the backpack on wheels unless you want to have a bad back before you even graduate. Index cards - yea, you can never have too many of those either! You'll need them for studying and for making MedCards for clinicals and pharm. Keep some kind of protein/fiber bar with you to keep up your energy and wake yourself up during some boring lecture. Chap Stick is a good one, you will want it. Extra set of scrubs with you at clinicals just in case. Make sure you have your car all set up, spare tire, jack, jumper cables, etc. In case of car troubles. Good luck and congrats on getting accepted!

Help with choosing what to do....
You should consider getting your CNA Regardless - the experience with patients in different settings with surprisingly help you with your A&P. I go to an LPN program in the next county over, and I go part time so that I can work as well. Several states have financial assistance programs for people going into health care as well. So, look into that. Good luck with your endeavors - and remember, most community colleges have tutoring programs.

Time management, Confidence, etc. in the nursing program
I'm halfway thru my nursing program, and the information on that poster was wonderful! Very helpful and handy! We are getting ready to hit clinicals hot and heavy with what we have learned so far, and I KNOW I didn't study enough! So, I'm going to be going back thru here and taking notes on how to take notes.

Care Plans
So we are gearing up for another semester of clinicals - and doing care plans on our residents/patients is a huge part of clinical paperwork. One of our instructors said to take the things from our Physical Assessment such as Poor Skin Turgor or Immobility and find a way to shape that as one of your Nursing Dx's, even if it's not your PRIMARY Nursing Dx, then add those in and also the interventions you would use in order to make your care plan shape out and cover all of your bases. Am I wrong? Did I explain that right?
