  1. Twice a month doesn't sound so bad. Especially compared to my 16hrs biweekly requirement. The best person to talk to would really be your manager. Wishing you the best!
  2. Stay far away from it till maybe after nclex! You will thank yourself for it later :)
  3. Way to go!!! That is one area I am very eager to working in once I graduate! Congrats!
  4. I recommend reading ahead also. Usually the first couple of chapters are pharm/patho 101 so it will help ease you into transition once classes begin. Best of luck!
  5. Staying on top of things with back to back exams and papers.
  6. I applaud all of you! Wow it is so hard for me to find time to work out even an hr a day. I do, however, workout during school breaks and such. Maybe ill find the time next term. :) P.s would taking the stairs at school rather than an elevator count as a workout? Hehehe
  7. May God continue to showing you his plans :) Wishing you the best!
  8. It's all based on you and what your life revolves around as well as your ability to balance it all. First semester is a slap in the face, truly. I worked while attending nursing school but I was able to talk to my manager into letting me work PRN(I don't work for a hospital btw). There are some that need to work full time while going to school raising kids and cook meals for their family and still manage to do better than most students...amazing, right?! What I'm trying to say is, you can do it(anyone can do it) as long as you are DETERMINED FOCUSED & WILLING :)
  9. Congrats!!! It's a very exciting journey :) 1st thing I did was cry lol honestly! It's truly a happy moment of joy 2nd thing I did was rush to my laptop and fill out fafsa and apply for scholarships! School isn't cheap I'm sure I don't need to further explain that 3rd thing I did was return my deposit 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th 9th & 10th thing I did was tell my friends, finish rest of my classes, speak to current nursing students, and breath in the last few months of what's called life :) Wishing you a GREAT nursing journey!
  10. 12hrs clinical hands down! That one free day is something you will need, trust me. I have done both. Like someone said, you will get a fill of 'day as a nurse'
