Vasodilator/Nitrate = nitroglycerin ACE inhibitor = enalapril Beta blocker = propranolol Calcium channel blocker = amlodipine Statin = lovastatin Salicylate = aspirin Antiplatelet = clopidogrel
  4. Chronic congestive heart failure meds = ACE inhibitor, beta blocker, aldosterone antagonist (or Angiotensin-II Receptor Blocker), combination of isosorbide dinitrate & hydralazine, diuretic, digoxin, vasopressin antagonist. Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor = lisinopril Beta blocker = carvedilol Aldosterone antagonist = spironolactone Angiotensin-II Receptor Blocker = losartan Vasodilator/nitrate = isosorbide dinitrate / hydralazine Diuretic = hydrochlorothiazide Inotrope/Pressor = digoxin Vasopressin antagonist = tolvaptan
  5. Meds for Hyperlipidemia = statins, niacin, bile acid sequestrants, fibric acid derivatives, and/or cholesterol absorption inhibitors. Statin = lovastatin Niacin = Vitamin B3 Bile acid sequestrant = cholestyramine Fibric acid derivative = fenofibrate, fenofibric acid Cholesterol absorption inhibitors = ezetimibe
  6. Hypertension is typically treated with = diuretics, ACE (Angiotensin Converting Enzyme) inhibitors, Angiotensin-II Receptor Blockers (ARBs), Beta-Blockers, DHP Calcium Channel Blockers (CCBs).
