  1. I am in the exact same position as you! I too am a new grad starting next month on a peds oncology floor. I sent you a private message.
  2. Last I received was a confirmation email stating they received all of my documents. However, I got an offer elsewhere. Goodluck to you! I do know a nurse that works at St. Lukes who applied in March and got a call in August for interview.
  3. I too had a phone interview on a Wednesday and then I waited for 1 week to hear back. I am sure the wait depends on how many more applicants they plan to interview after you. I only had the phone interview and then got the job offer so I have not visited the hospital. I don't mind exchanging emails, what is your email? Also, I would suggest you call and ask what position you are interviewing for and who is interviewing you if you don't know. I asked those questions since I had also applied to more than 1 position.
  4. Hi beach it! What unit is your interview for? These are some tips I can suggest based on my interview: 1) Prepare a tell me about yourself, think about what your future goals are, what your expections are from PCMC, give some thought on what your professors would say about you, and also know why you want to work for that unit and this hospital. 2) Prepare to answer some behavioral questions such as, "Tell me about a time you went above and beyond for a patient or family." 3) Be able to talk about family-centered care such as what it means to you and your experience with it. Good luck on your interview and let me know how it goes!
  5. @Bear07_RN2B I will be on the Immuno-Compromised Unit. It is primarily oncology and bone marrow transplants! So happy to be starting off my career in my dream job!
  6. Wow I am so happy to have just found this thread! I am a new grad and I will be moving from CA to UT to begin my career in a children's hospital on the immuno-compromised unit! This gives me a starting point on what to review. Thank you! I am so excited and a little nervous!
  7. Well I have accepted a job offer for a children's hospital in Utah! Good luck to you all :)
  8. I too applied and I received an email on 4/23 that my application has been forwarded for review to a hiring manager and that if I was a top candidate, I would be contacted for an interview.
  9. I will be relocating from CA to Salt Lake for PCMC's nurse residency program in June! Any other new grads out there beginning the same life adventure?
  10. I think they keep reposting it because they are making mistakes on the application regarding what units are available. See my comment above for details.
  11. I applied to the FIRST job posting and never received a "congrats" email until after responding to the following email that i received yesterday: "Hello, Thank you for applying to the CHOC Children’s RN Residency/Fellowship program. Recently there has been a change in the departments offering training program opportunities and CHOC at Mission and Oncology will not be available this year. If you would like to be considered for another department, please respond by e-mail to me with your name and one new choice by Wednesday, April 17. The 2013 RN Residency Units are: - Medical - Surgical Post-Op - Neuroscience - CVICU - NICU - PICU Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience that this has caused and thank you for considering CHOC Children’s in your career search." Soon after responding to this email, I received the email that states I have made it to the next step which is manager review.
  12. My status hasn't changed at all either. Still anxiously waiting!
  13. I applied on April 1st and I just checked my status and it also states 'Not Selected'.
  14. @db2xs I also received the email Friday evening and thought it was odd that they would ask for it to completed within 24 hours.
