  1. Was it difficult to get in ? I live in Texas, wonder if I can apply from Texas ? Do you have to go to campus or have intensives/check offs??
  2. If you don’t mind me asking , but where did you decide to pursue your FNP? I also want to keep my options open . I’m scared I won’t get in a legitimate FNP program because of WGU’s pass or fail. I have some “not passed” on my transcript because of classes I didn’t finish on time ?
  3. Just want to hear from any students in any of these schools . Pros/cons? Would you recommend?
  4. My student mentor confirmed that FNP is hopefully going to roll out in Spring 2020 . I’m totally excited . I love WGU, but don’t know if I want to wait that long either ???
  5. Oh my goodness . That’s so sad. I know Walden is a private/for profit school, but I’ve heard mixed reviews. I’ve been calling UTA, to ask if they accept WGU BSN graduates? My friend got her AGCP at UTA and loved it too.
  6. I live in Texas, I’ve been trying to call UTA for they’re FNP program , but no luck . Can you tell me your opinion of UTA? And why you’re considering Walden ?
  7. If you don’t mind me asking ? What MSN NP program are you currently attending?
  8. Interested in Walden University. Are there any lectures/webinars with professors ?
  9. Hello, when do you plan on starting this program ? I've been in touch with an enrollment counselor. Just wish I could find reviews on this program ??
  10. Anyone graduate from this school, would really love some feedback . They're located here in Texas, I know it's a small school, but really want to know if any students have graduated from Schreiner.
  11. Awesome! What school? Just trying to decide to go RN to MSN or just get my BSN, and go elsewhere for the MSN , soo many choices to make
  12. Texas Tech is a great school too ! I know other nurses that have completed the program, it's half and half when it comes to their opinions about Texas Tech's program. I need a program , that has is " more self paced" like WGU. Plus WGU, was very generous in accepting my previous coursework for my ADN, and don't have to take extra US history classes or other non-nursing electives. I may take pathophysiology though , maybe at my local cc . My work schedule is not the best at times, and I have a 13 month old baby, plus a 12 y/o son and 6 y/o daughter ..... so amazing that there are programs out there for everyone:)
  13. Thank you featherz,RN,BSN.....so appreciate the feedback , I have 3 kiddos and work full time in a busy ER.... so asynchronous , no discussion boards is a plus and " self-paced" is what I need :) BTW, I'll take my time, not in a hurry, my employer will reimburse my tuition, plus I've got 3 years to complete my BSN. Oh , and WGU will give me a 10% Tuition discount because I'm employed by a HCA (Hospital Corporation of America) hospital . I believe the CEO of HCA is a firm believer in WGU, and its success, and he has also been a speaker at some of the graduation ceremonies :) so happy :) :)
  14. Thank you soo much, will do ! I'll sign up for everything, so eager to learn :) can't wait ...excited !!!
  15. I'll be taking Biochemistry soon, any advice would help.
  16. Thank you soo much :) For the advice, I dislike discussion boards, sounds great ! I'll just take my classes with them, I've contacted them already....only have to complete 37 units, hope that's NOT too many. I do have to take Biochemistry with them, though :/....any tips on that class ??
  17. Anyone, complete this program ?
  18. I'm researching RN to BSN programs, they're soo many :/
  19. Would you still recommend WGU, or another more structured school, they seem to get awesome reviews , anyway to avoid Biochemistry. Biochemistry, is very hard at a regular even in class , I can just imagine...
  20. Just wondering ? Reviewed WGU website, I believe they have mentors that help? Right? I've been contemplating going to this school, but every other program I've researched has online discussion boards :/....I really wish I could find an interactive program. Can you give me feedback on the WGU program ?
  21. Just really trying to narrow down programs, I've heard great things about WGU, Capella, UTA, and Chamberlain? Too many schools , too many options :/, please chime in, need advice for RN to BSN/MSN program:)
  22. Thank you soo much for the response. Still researching other schools too , accreditation is a Must !
  23. Hey everyone, just trying to decide between these 2 programs, both seem great! Really need some feedback though , please 😉
  24. You sound just like me, just had a baby- he's 3 months old, and the other 2 are out for summer. I'm back at work, in a busy ER, but trying to decide on going the "Brick and mortar " school route or through WGU.... Need advice too :)
  25. Hi everyone, I'm also racking my brain about deciding on WGU or UT Tyler here in Texas? I I want to pursue a Master's Degree, just can't decide if NP or MSN in Education :/...I know I need my BSN- just can't decide?? I've been a ER RN for quite sometime. Was a LVN, then bridged for an ADN, been at the same hospital for close to 10 yrs.... I need advice... Please
