Relocating to Reno
No not really lol. I was able to connect with a few old teachers in that area but I decided to try Vegas first and use Reno a back up plan. I went to school in Vegas and have more support out there. I applied to a hospital and got a call back the following week for interview. I didn't get the job. But just the interview was huge for me. It was my first. I haven't gotten a call back from a hospital in California in 2 years of applying.

Are there any hospitals out there hiring New Grads? I'm willing to relocate!
I found some openings in Las Vegas and Reno. I went to school in Las Vegas and made the mistake of moving back to California when I graduated and have had only agency jobs with spotty hours and no benefits. I applied to a posting at a Vegas hospital for RN 1 and got a call back less then a week later. Was able to do a phone interview also so I didn't have to spend the money to go over there. I graduated 3 years ago all my friends from school work in there desired place now. Weather that is hospice or hospital. Not saying its a piece of cake but seems a whole lot easier then CA to land a job.

Moving to Nevada
I am moving to Nevada from Northern California. I went to school in Vegas. All my friends are working from school. I graduated 3 years ago. I don't no how many years experience you have but the Long term care like horizon is a good place to start and also the Valley Health System hospitals are hiring. Hospice and home health is where some of my friends work and love it there. Good luck :). I'm job hunting as well.

No flu vax=mask? Reno
I work in CA and that has become a rule for us RNs since last year. I work in home health and either take vaccination or wear mask I don't see that it wld affect your ability to find work but most likely u will have to wear a mask.

Fastest (<9 mo), multiple start dates, under 10-15K, online RN-BSN?
Only one that comes to mind is WGU. At least with all the research I have done.

Relocating to Reno
Hello I am originally from Northern California went to school in Las Vegas at Carrington for my RN. I moved back to California thinking there was more opportunity there for me. I was wrong. Two years later I was able to force my way into shift nursing making low wages without benefits and still no light at the end of the tunnel as to when or how I can get into a hospital. I started looking into Renown and was going to get my endorsement license and apply there. I read in earlier threads that Reno doesn't hire from CA because a lot of nurses end up moving back after a year. These were older threads and just wondering if this is the case still? Any insight would be helpful.
