  1. I'm attending the Fall 2013 session and they supply you with a scope and some other supplies. They specifically said they're suppying a scope. Whether or not it's good is up to you, but that's the only thing they specified.
  2. Westchester Community College and Cochran are both institutions that require college level pre-requisites to attend. You need classes like AnP I & II, Chemistry, Microbiology, Nutrition, and other general education courses. If you're looking to get into a direct program, a four year program would be your best shot. I believe my friend is attending College of New Rochelle and that's a direct 4 year program to get a BSN.
  3. Yeah I had to turn someone down because they had 1199 insurance and her scripts weren't billable by our pharmacy. Sad stuff
  4. Aha, but you can't fill scripts at CVS with 1199, at least for 2013 year. Ohh the drawbacks
  5. Thank god for being an EMT. My agency gives me my certifications for freeeeeeeee.
  6. Have you tried Cochran? I'm not sure if they're even still accepting applications, but they have lower standards than WCC. EDIT: just checked their website and they appear to be accepting applications still. You can submit your application online for free and they will even take your TEAS scores from WCC. You just need to get them your login information so they can print it out.
  7. Congrats to all! I have been accepted as well, but still sticking strong with my decision to go to Cochran. Goodluck everyone.
  8. From what I've been hearing, and yes I hear things a lot, WCC has a lack luster program. I don't know if I'm to believe that statement, because I have never went through the program or even attended an information session. I'm just going by what I hear.
  9. My buddy got a 91 and he asked **********. He said that only 2 people received a score in the 90's. With that grade I'm sure you'd get in.
  10. All depends where you work. I'm currently at CVS pharmacy and losing a narc isn't the END of the world. It all comes down to trust. Shouldn't hire someone you wouldn't genuinely trust.
  11. From what I've heard, there are only two people that scored in the 90's. My buddy for a 91 and there is another person with a higher score. I myself scored an 84 with high hopes, but was just accepted to Cochran today. That's where it's looking like I'm going.
  12. Ehh. Not sure what all the hype is about the TEAS V. I thought the information was very elementary, except a few questions. Definitely go back to high school level math and some college AnP. The part that got me was the Reading and Grammar (always have been my weak points.) I didn't study and earned a composite score of 84%. Hopefully I'll be getting into the program of choice. So stoked!
