  1. Hi alcraig, Nice to meet you :) and yes, I'm taking Nursing Concepts during intersession. Are you also taking the Pharmacology class as well during intersession?
  2. Hi tjenn999, I haven't started the program yet but I will let u know how it is once I start. To be honest, I'm excited but also nervous! goooodbye social life lol. Good-luck with the application process!
  3. Hey guys, I've been accepted to the RN program at Santa Ana College and was wondering if there's anyone else out there starting the RN program at SAC in spring 2015? I created this page for fellow students beginning SAC in spring 2015 to interact, get to know each other and to ask each other questions. Hope to hear from everyone!
  4. Hey akeefner, What start date did you apply for? For me, my start date is April 2014 but that also depends whether or not I get my loans and stuff officially processed. Let me know if you need a roommate because I'm also searching for one or two as well. I'll be coming from California so Denver will be a brand new experience for me. Good-luck!
  5. Did you have to apply for any private loans for nursing? How can we know how much federal loan we are eligible for? Ive already submitted my FAFSA. Do i need to just wait for fafsa to let me know how much im eligible for?
  6. Does anyone have any info regarding tuition at DSN? I know tuition is 55k for the BSN program. I understand that federal loans will only cover a portion of the tuition and the rest will have to be paid out of pocket OR through a private loan. Im a lil worried about getting a private loan because as far as I know, my credit is not the best it could be. Will this make it difficult for me to apply for a private loan? I am thinking about asking a relative to be my co-signer, but again, I'm still worried that my credit will hinder my chances of getting a private loan. Anyone have any insight about this? thank you!
  7. Does anyone know how the interview is like?? I heard that its pretty chill and all the advisor does is talk about the school and payment options... so once you pass the entrance exam, you're pretty much set to go. Is this true? I'm a b it nervous about the interview! any info regarding this is much appreciated. thanks!:)
  8. Does anyone know where I can start looking for apartments to rent in Denver? preferably near the DSN campus... also, I'm also looking to roommates. Is anyone else in the same situation as me...?
  9. anyone received an email from Stephanie about scheduling a skype interview?? I received mine on Jan 7th and am still waiting for her to send out the skype list of days/times to schedule an interview
  10. I was wondering if you know anyone who has graduated from DSN and was able to find a job quickly after graduating? Also, can we work in a different state if we have an nursing license from Colorado? Sorry if this question sounds dumb. Im new to this. Thanks!
  11. Hi there. I have also been reading different threads about DSN and a lot of them have been mixed reviews as well. What I'd like to know is if DSN is accredited? I heard that its NLNAC accredited but is it also CCNE accredited? I just need to know if I can continue on with my Master's in nursing after completing my BSN at DSN. Thanks for the info
  12. Thank so much for the info! I'll definitely keep it all in mind when I go apartment hunting.
  13. Hi Sierra, I think you should turn in your application early. The sooner the better would be a good idea. I applied for the april 2014 start date; I submitted my application early in September for the October 1st deadline and received an email from DSN two days after letting me know that they have received my application. If you have any questions at all, Kelly from DSN is the gal you can contact. She's very prompt at responding to emails.
  14. Since I have never been to Denver and have no clue about this state, I was wondering if anyone who is currently residing in Denver could give me info regarding how the city is is, the weather, etc. Also, how the school itself is like and what to expect during the first quarter/term of nursing school. How is a typical week like? Since Im from CA and will have to move to Denver to start school, does anyone know where in Denver I can find a decent, yet affordable apt. ??? I have a cat so preferably a pet friendly apt. would be nice :) (possibly near DSN) I am also looking for a roommate(s). If you're someone who is also looking for a place in Denver and also seeking a roommate, we can discuss this together! Feel free to contact me at [email protected] --- any info would be grrreat! Thank you!
  15. Hi everyone, I'm from CA and will be coming to DSN for an interview in January. If I do well on my interview and pass the entrance exam, I will have to move to Denver for the BSN april start date. Since I have never been to Denver before and have no clue about this state, I was wondering if anyone could give me info regarding how the city is like, the weather, etc. Also, how the school itself is like and what to expect during the first term of nursing school. Also, since I'll be moving from CA, does anyone know where I can find a decent, yet affordable apt. in Denver (possibly near DSN)?? I am also looking for a roommate(s). Any kind of info. would be grrreat! :) Thank you!
